This is an awesome house - exactly as pictured in a great, walkable location to everything. The only thing not pictured that was a little surprising was that there are no steps down to the beach. Also, the octagon deck with Adirondack chairs (which is in some of the pics) is not part of the property. Otherwise, this was a perfect destination for a girls’ weekend getaway! We had a wonderful time!!

Very nice property

Very clean, great location. There were just a few very minor things that didn't align with the property description on VRBO, and the property has some minor wear and tear (as most rental properties do), but overall we were very happy and would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Very nice property

Three blocks from town and historical city center / pier. At low tide plenty of beach to walk on. Nice outdoor areas had several meals on covered patio.

Close, Convenient and Comfortable

We played in a golf event at Sea Island Golf Club and the location was very convenient. The home was spacious with some wonderful views of the water. We gave it four stars only because some of the home was in need of updating and was a bit cluttered. Other than that the home was very nice to stay for a week.

Gorgeous Oasis!

We spent a week at this beautiful home. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and the lighthouse. The beach by the house is small, but perfect for walks and just sitting outside and relaxing. The home itself is amazing, like staying in an art museum. We will gladly return here!

Perfect experience!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The property is amazing, beautiful views, very clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated. Great communication when checking in and out, quick responses and more than happy to accommodate the guests. Our family holiday gathering was perfect here!

Gorgeous View!!

We stayed here in 2020 and we thought it was beautiful then but it was even better this time around. The view from the back Italian looking veranda is just phenomenal!!! My parents went with us and they loved being able to watch the pilot boat go out and bring the cargo ships into port. So much fun!! We toured the lighthouse and the world war 2 museum. A definite must for any history buffs. The house is beautiful and nice and open. Plenty of room for 3 couples to stay. We also loved that we could walk to the many shops and restaurants in the village. Also when low tide happens we were able to walk the beach. Thank you for helping us to have a relaxing and beautiful vacation.

FAMILY VISIT ON SSI

My husband is from SSI and my mother in law still lives there, in an assisted living facility. Three or four times a year,we visit the island look for a luxury place to stay to give her a stay-cation. This house was perfect. The house is beautiful, the location and the views from the back porch is just awesome. We spent hours on the porch watching them work on the Golden Ray. The house had all the amenities needed for perfect stay. We had user troubles with the elevator, and Wendy and Bill responded within 15 minutes. Great stay and I highly recommend.

Great location! Great house!

Probably one of the few rental properties where you can see both the sunrise and the sunset. Beautiful home with ornate furnishings and wonderful features, and so close to the village, pier, lighthouse, everything! You can sit on the patio and listen to the water lapping at the shore. We even got to see the remnants of the infamous Golden Ray, the auto carrying ship that overturned in St. Simons Sound in 2019, along with the Versabar, the largest lifting vessel ever built in the United States. Quite a sight to see, along with the dolphins swimming past, and other large ships that go in and out from time to time. Property manager is very responsive and tries hard to make sure guests have a great experience.

Ocean Front Italian Villa

The property is beautiful and well-maintained. It is located right on the ocean and each day you can see one or more cargo ships pass by the house. The view is stunning, especially from the master bedroom. We stayed in this house because it has an elevator from the first to second floor. It came in quite handy for my 83 and 85-year-old parents. There was plenty of room for the four of us. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house was quite clean and very well decorated. The owners seem to take great pride in their property. We would definitely stay there again. The house is only a short walk from downtown King's Way Village with its fine stores and restaurants. This property is well worth the cost.

Fantastic

That patio and view are just amazing. There is beach until high tide. The beds were so comfortable. We were 5 family members and everyone loved the house. The kitchen is well stocked- we just didn’t locate the spices until the last day- there is a cubby hole next to the oven that pulls out. We hope to be back. Next time we won’t rent the golf cart- we were so close to everything that it wasn’t needed. One note on st simons right now: no one seems to know about covid. Kind of scary and shocking. The workers wore masks but no tourists.

Location alone makes it worth booking

Perfect location if you want to walk to the restaurants and fun on Mallery St and have a semi private beach access. Would not hesitate to book for a family (for us, a couple with two teenagers and our aunt/niece).Please read the following to save you a few minor issues we dealt with:1. Check the outlets/plug ins. Many are only only on if the light switch is also on and some don’t work. You have to get creative to charge your devices especially in the bedrooms.2. Wear very sturdy water shoes if you want to access the beach. Big jagged rocks are between you and the beach for 22 hours out of the day accept lowest low tide. Flip flops don’t cut it. 3. Bring good bug spray. Off the back the ocean breeze keeps them at bay but walking around town the mosquitoes can be a problem. If you’re from Georgia you’d know this but if not can be a surprise. 4. The third bedroom is small and two twins. Says it in the description but the picture is of the master BR twice. Worked out great for us, just know if you have three couples.Again, would not hesitate to book but wish we knew those things to prepare.

Expectations Exceeded

From time to time even your highest expectations are exceeded. I was looking for a truly memorable vacation destination and from the time I arrived until the time I left I could not have been happier with my stay. The property itself is truly amazing. From the decor to the amenities this is the nicest property I have every stayed at. Ocean front views that include the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in in one spot. A huge outdoor patio on both floors allows you to relax the day away on relaxing lounge chairs in front of a beautiful fountain. You feel tucked away in paradise but a one minute walk and you find yourself in a charming downtown full of all the shops, restaurants, and even fishing stores you will ever need. Wonderful golf courses are a short drive throughout the island and for an adventure you can take the bridge to Jekyll Island. The owners were wonderful regarding their guidance, the property management company was always available and I left wanting to schedule my next visit! This property deserved 6 stars and I am grateful for having the opportunity to spend some time in this perfect location.

Love St Simons!

First of all, I would like to share the management company is fabulous! Thank you Monica for your terrific customer service. I would like to list the positives about this property: clean; walking distance to village and fishing pier; great appliances: very comfortable; nice neighborhood: great place to watch the boats go by; nice landscaping in the backyard; incredibly soft bath towels. It is obvious this is a well loved family vacation home with the number of family photos. I am however surprised that some of the obvious negatives of the property have not been pointed out. It could be guests are afraid of getting a bad guest review on VRBO? However, I will be brave and point them out for future guests. The photos of the property are deceiving. There is a large maritime structure right across the water destroying what we thought would be a gorgeous water view. We chose this property because of the outside space and were willing to pay for it. The outdoor cushions were completely covered in green algae and mildew spots. At my suggestion, management company was very willing to purchase beach towels to cover the cushions so they could be utilized. Please owners, replace the cushions! At this price point and being a beach house, dismayed to find no beach towels. Had to drive to Target to purchase. I assumed linens provided meant towels for the beach. No wonder they kept stressing don’t bring white towels to the beach. Also, there is a charcoal grill and not a gas grill. Would recommend upgrading at this price point. The upholstery needs tp be cleaned or upgraded as tired or dirty. Finally, there are not safe stairs to walk down to the beach but rocks. Would recommend owners invest in building a proper beach access staircase. We love St Simons finding it quaint, friendly and relaxing. Would just choose another property when we return,

Hauntingly Beautiful but Damp and Hot inside

This house is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly located. The reason for the 2 stars are a couple of issues that really disrupted the overall experience of our stay. I will list those in no particular order of importance but just as they occurred. 1. The key is hidden in a lock box in an area that does not in the dark at least seem like it even belongs to this house. 2. The house smells very moldy and musty due to the high humidity of course that you will have with a beachfront home however can be corrected with proper HVAC system ( We own and operate HVAC Co. 38 years ). We soon discovered that the Owner controls the HVAC with nest Tstats remotely and has locked the guests out of controling their own temps. This is a HUGE DEAL. Not only is the temps unacceptable but the furniture is damp and smelly. This was very aggravating esp. because the bedrooms were the same.My husband took care of this by over-riding the Owners control for the duration of our stay but we did not take this step until it became a tug of war with the owner resetting it every time we did. I think when you put out good money for the place it should be yours for the week you paid for. (We also own and operate 3 VRBO rentals in Tennessee's Watauga Lake. 3. For a 7 day stay we were provided 2 towels and 1 washcloth in the master bath. I will just leave it at that. 4. I had to wash the bathmats first thing because they were disgusting. They are clearly not washed between each guest. 5. The "Money Shot" the view from the lower level was obstructed by a built up layer of filth and salt. Obviously never cleaned. 6. The Outdoor lower Patio looked like a junk room with cushions just haphazardly thrown about. The cushions while very expensive are not stored inside or in a deck box so they are so moldy and damp you will not want to sit on them. The outdoor area with the water fountain is green, dirty, moldy and very uninviting . So if you are like me dreaming of taking a book out and sitting with that gorgeous view its not going to work for you. The fountain does not work either. The property itself is overgrown and needs some attention very badly and that brings me to my next very BIG issure. 5. 2 Days had to endure humans mowing and replacing plants on our private patio. Big No No. For those of you who believe in the Supernatural this house is HAUNTED by a female presence. She made herself clearly known both by voice and disturbances several times.
