The washer flooded the basement at some point and the cabinets were falling apart. There was also only one extension cord for the tv’s since the outlets were so far away from them. Lastly, there were no cleaning supplies in the home.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The home looked nice in photos but was poorly maintained in person. Peeling wallpaper, loose carpet stair treads, broken kitchen cabinets, and a requirement to leave the bathroom light on if you wanted to run the AC. One room was inaccessible due to undisclosed work, and pest control wanted in during our stay without prior notice. The front door wouldn't close properly, and the bathroom had toothpaste splatter.The host allowed us to leave early and charged only for the two nights, which we appreciated. However, they wouldn't update the reservation, leaving us to pay taxes and fees for all nine nights. Overall, disappointing stay and not as represented.

Disliked: Cleanliness
This stay was horrible from the beginning. There were so many things broken or missing in the house. I sent about a dozen photos of things wrong to the host. Then the 1st night we returned to the property after dinner to no heat! No matter what we tried, the heat wouldn’t work. We froze all night (it got down to 61) as the host didn’t respond till the next morning. It took until almost noon to get it fixed and ruined most of our plans for the day. The host never responded to whether we had to be there for the repairs and still hasn’t replied to all of the issues we had. Including wasps (probably a nest) in the couch room I was staying in and had to end up sleeping in the living room on a regular couch. Stair treads falling off, blinds busted, wall paper peeling off, no light bulbs or broken ones in lights. No way to plug in TVs because they were too far from outlets and no extensions cords, outside trash container overflowing all over, dead bugs all over the house, the outside door broken and wouldn’t open or close all the way, drawer broken in kitchen, outlets that didn’t work! then as we were cleaning up to check out, we saw a mouse and a cockroach in the kitchen and as we were stripping the beds, we found a (thankfully unused by us) pillowcase with makeup all over it and dark thick curly hair in one of the trash cans that we emptied that we didn’t use. the place wasn’t even cleaned before we got there! At very least, the heat should’ve been checked before we checked in!
