2 Albert Terrace is a cosy cottage situated in a quiet location close to the centre of St Ives, within easy walking distance to the harbour, beaches and shops. The cottage is set over two floors with an open plan living space and bathroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor. The cottage has a small front yard and private parking in a nearby garage close to the property. Please note Albert Terrace is a row of 5 cottages reached from Dove Street via a private path with 34 steps.

Inaccurate listing

As an active member of the VRBO community who has had great success as an owner with my own rentals, I was looking forward to experiencing VRBO from the "other side". My experience was a disaster. The booking turned out to be through a 3rd party and the VRBO listing did not include any of the site specific impediments that were clearly labeled on the original property description provided by the local rental agency but NOT ON THE VRBO LISTING that I used online to book the property.. The property had two flights of hillside steps to the entrance and the parking area was too small to accomodate a small SUV. We were forced to fall on the mercy of the local booking agency to try and find another booking at the last minute. This was expensive and very stressful and basically a nightmare scenario that forces many people to avoid "rent by owner" travel options. I was embarrassed and horrified that travelers could be treated in such a shameful manner. As pleased as I have been as an owner to be part of the VRBO community, after this disastrous experience in the UK, I will reconsider listing my property with VRBO. If a listing is managed by a 3rd party and not directly by the owner, renters should be notified and sent a link to the agency so that they can find out information directly. VRBO did not provide access to information that was clearly spelled out on the 3rd party's web site which made my complaints and issues about the property seem trivial since I had already signed on to rent the property. The booking agency was able to find us another property after several hours and at additional expense. My recommendation is to deal directly with the 3rd party booking site and leave VRBO out of the equation so that your holiday is not ruined.
