What an interesting and historic place....
Was originally a monastery. Incredible staff. Beautiful views. Make sure to ask for room with A/C because not all have one. No elevator but staff assists with luggage. Good idea to upgrade to suite. Very historic rooms. Be sure you are ready for a somewhat challenging drive and narrow road up to hotel which can be challenging at times. We love this place and will return. Spoleto is an amazing town with beautiful views and lovely sites. The people are remarkably friendly. There are three underground electric walkways in very long tunnels that make the town, situated on a steep mountain, extremely accessible from bottom to top. The electric walkways connect to the large underground parking lots as well. Spoleto Festival is wonderful as well.

Magnificent piece of history...with a view.
If you survive the last part of the harrowing drive to this magnificent historic former hermitage/monastery, you will be rewarded with an experience to cherish for a lifetime. There are only a few staff members way up there, but they work very hard and try to take care of your every need. The place has an unbelievable history, from Michelangelo stays, to Napoleon troop takeovers, until it landed with the current family. The views are second to none, and the conversion of the short ceiling prayer cells to suites is something to behold. We loved every minute and hope to return someday soon. This place is more a museum than a hotel, but you will find beauty in every corner of the grounds, the woods and the hotel itself.

Eremo delle Grazie e della Pace
Fantastica dimora in stile con stanze arredate in modi diversi e con nomi di frati . Vecchia abitazione di monaci eremiti acquistata da medico dentista che ne ha fatto la propria residenza di famiglia. E' tutt'oggi proprietà degli eredi e trasformato in splendido albergo/dimora con piscina e terrazza per colazione/pranzi con vista stupenda su Spoleto e dintorni. Si vive davvero un'atmosfera impagabile di serena tranquillità e benessere nel verde. Da provare assolutamente.
