The outside looks appealing but as soon as you get inside it’s a dump. No elevator,carpet on the stairs is dirty and ragged. All the room doors were chipped and dirty. The room wasn’t cleaned properly but the bathroom was ok. I’ve always had good stays at Microtel but this is a dumb

Top 5 worst stays ever

Our stay was unacceptable and between the hotel and hotels.com are refusing to give me my money back due to the fact that I had no choice but to stay in that hotel room because I’m not going to go and find another room at a different hotel at 3 o’clock in the morning. We moved to three different rooms. Two rooms had cockroaches in it and the third room. The floors were sticky and nasty. I would not advise to stay in this hotel or use hotels.com if you have problems and want a refund.

Clipped toenails on seating

Check in is at 3, when we arrived at 3 the door was propped open and floor was wet (indicating it had just been cleaned). However when we walked in the room, under the window sill there’s a bench seat & it had someone’s clipped toenails on it & there was trash on the floor. Beds appeared to be decently clean, but there was a strong smell of mildew. The bathroom plug in didn’t work & front desk said they had no extension cord or other options but to wait for maintenance - I hung my towel on the towel rack and it fell off the wall. Overall a cheap place to sleep, but keep your shoes on.
