Beautiful spacious property in a gorgeous location. The owner greeted us on arrival, she was very friendly and showed us around the house which was very clean and tidy. The bathrooms are amazing! We had direct access to the lake enjoying swimming and the use of the two kayaks. The garden is lovely and well kept with sun loungers and a barbecue area. The back terrace is very comfortable for lazy relaxing evenings and family meals together. Very secure property that is gated but can be a bit tricky to enter and exit due to the very busy main road and cycle path directly behind gates. The road is noisy but it’s not something that would stop us from returning in the future. We went out most days using our car and enjoyed beautiful Bellagio, Menaggio, Como, lovely walks up the paths to the beach area and a day trip to Milan on the train from Lecco. Big supermarket easy drive away. There were a couple of negatives, the listing states that one bedroom has 3 sleeping facilities, this is not the case, all bedrooms have double beds, the photos do show this but the description does not match therefore needs updating. The kitchen could of been a little more equipped, there were plenty of plates etc and the cooking facilities are excellent but utensils could of been better compared to other properties we have stayed in.The owner was very accommodating when we asked if there was a washing machine we could use which was appreciated. Overall we had a great stay at holiday home Mera.
