Supreme Room, Not so Supreme

Pros: Ample parking, conference luncheon-vegetarian sandwich.
Cons: WiFi and cell signal in conference rooms.
Location: Shared parking lot with box drug store, and breakfast restaurant, within two miles of shopping, restaurants, and brew pub.
The Supreme room had adequate size but has a poor layout. Upon entering the room bed is within 1-2 feet of the open door which makes for an awkward entry when maneuvering luggage. The outdoor entrance could be nice, however, it renders the key useless if you use the deadbolt (a sign would be nice). Our particular room's bathroom was small and the toilet had a leak so bad that is sounded like a tabletop water(fall) garden.

Good morning R. Thank you for your valuable feedback on your stay with us through Travelocity. We have many different types of rooms and our ten acre resort does have Wi-Fi throughout the entire ten acres. As you might imagine this is quite an undertaking. We're sorry the signal wasn't what you were hoping for in your room and we will look into it. Thank you again for staying with us.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Update!
I wish I would have taken the reviews I read seriously! This hotel was so old and outdated. I walked, no..stepped into the bathroom, with barely enough room to close the door. I could touch the ceiling with my hand. There was no bed skirt so the mattress sat on a slatted frame which was too large for the mattress. It was borderline creepy. The halls were old with worn out carpet. The shower had very low water pressure with lukewarm water. I knew I should have stayed at a Holiday Inn, or Best Western!

Hi Annette, We're very sorry you found your stay to be less thank expected. Our Executive Wing may have been more what you were looking for. Our hotel certainly has legacy, but has changed with the times as well. We were the first to put in electric charging stations for Teslas in the area. Our pool and ten acre grounds are some of the prettiest in the county. Eight minutes door to door to St. Francis Winery (Opentable best restaurant '13 and '15). We're sorry that your room was not one of our updated ones. We are in the process of fixing some of the very things you mention.

In serious need of a good remodel

Pros: Not much
Cons: Upgrades on décor - try to bring things out of the 60's. More staff training - especially people skills and decorum.
Location: N/A
My wife booked this hotel - which was rated as superior - due to it's proximity to events we would be attending. She had lived in Santa Rosa for many years and while she had never personally stayed at the venue, had heard good reports about it. The staff were cordial but obviously not enthused. It took 3 tries to get the room key card to work - as in 3 different sets of cards, and a visit from one of the "house engineers". The room itself was dated and it seemed that at least once the bed had been used as a trampoline. My wife sat on the end to begin unpacking and the whole thing raised on the frame. While I found this humorous after a 6.5 hour drive she did not.... We attended our event the next day and when we returned decided to go into the bar/restaurant for a drink. Service was less than professional, slow and overpriced. There were also disputes between staff and staff and customers regarding forgotten orders, slow and general sloppy service. The restaurant closed at 9:00 but there was nothing noting this at the entrance. The whole operation just seemed as though it was being run for the staff and not the guests.....

A little off the highway for people traveling thru

Pros: it was under a 100.00
Cons: amenities...need more, especially wifi.
Location: The Russian River Brewery is about 1-1/2 miles back towards the highway. Great brew pub and is always busy
Its a couple of miles from Hwy 101 , but tucked a way nicely , great pool. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors above you. No free wifi. Old school layout. I paid under a 100 bucks , anymore than that I look else where. No bath mat.

Hi Bruce, You'll be happy to know we upgraded our Wi-Fi and it still covers the entire ten acres, but it's faster now and free. We're happy to be your base when you visit Russian River again.

Dilapidated, shabby, noisy, ugly

We stayed one Saturday night in mid-October 2013. Very disappointed. Condition of room very shabby with large stains on carpet and torn/ripped drapes. Drapes also wouldn't close. Wall hair dryer was filthy and caked with dust and dirt. We way too much online--yikes. This is not a 3 1/2 star hotel. It is like a run-down motel. Room was very noisy due to slate sidewalks connecting the rooms through an enclosed breezeway You can hear suitcases rolling and footsteps echoing till after midnight. Our room was very small (apparently the smallest and dumpiest) with 2 double beds. The linens were nice and bed was suitable. Hotel lobby is desolate and dumpy also. We did not use amenities and did not eat there. Would obviously not return.

Hi Tex19. A lot has changed since 2013. We'd love for you to see us again. Our drapes are new, we do not have slate sidewalks, however. Our lobby has been remodeled and our restaurant is fantastic.

Extremely Kid Friendly!

We just spent Labor Day weekend at the Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa and we are already looking forward to coming back next year. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous. The pool area is amazing! Kids loved splashing around and we loved sitting nearby having a cocktail and very good food from the restaurant/lounge. There's plenty of grassy area to run around and some nice shady spots from the beautiful redwoods. It was the perfect little getaway for us!
