Retro mid-60s A-frame with a full kitchen, 55" smart TV, and comfy loft queen + main full. Easy Hwy-2 access for storm days. Book prime winter weekends early—they go fast.

Getting Around:

Car required. Hwy 2 is the main route. In snow/ice season, carry chains/traction devices (and check WSDOT Stevens Pass for conditions). Weather for planning: Skykomish, WA.



Other Things to Note:

•Dogs: up to 2 house-trained dogs (no cats). $35 per dog per night. Include pups in booking; keep off furniture/beds. No unattended dogs at the home. Pet fee added via quick alteration after booking.

•Arrival info: directions, codes, and house manual sent 2 days before arrival.

•Check-in/out: no early arrivals or late departures; if we’re ready before 4 pm, we’ll message you.

•Firewood: bring a couple bundles of dry wood + kindling for the woodstove/firepit (options along Hwy-2; Louski’s Deli/gas ~3 min).

•Fires: you must agree to fire safety terms; burn permit info is in your guest agreement.

•Garbage: no local pickup—pack out all trash and personal items on departure.

This was really one of the nicest rentals I have ever stayed in. It was spotless when we arrived and everything was exactly as described. The space was warm and welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The location was private yet accessible and so convenient for us to go skiing. Owen and Kristin were great hosts and communicated efficiently throughout the whole process.The location is very convenient to Stevens Pass and Skykomish. The property itself is the perfect size for us - my wife, myself, and our dog enjoyed a fun weekend of snowshoeing and evening fireplace. Of note, the kitchen is well stocked with appliances, spices, cooking oils, teas, and other convenient items. We were able to cook all of our meals easily. The wood fireplace and the hot tub were awesome in the chilly weather. I would definitely recommend or book again for future Stevens Pass activities!

Great Christmas Stay in Skykomish

My wife and I came up to Skykomish for a Christmas getaway with our two dogs and had a great time. The property was clean and seasonally decorated, so it felt like a taste of home! We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub. We had an issue with the Internet router (outside the control of the host) after arriving around 10-11 PM on our first night, and the host was very responsive in helping us get our problem fixed within minutes. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this adorable cabin! The aesthetic is charming and cozy, and the space felt well cared for overall. The bedrooms were comfortable, and we especially appreciated how warm the cabin was when we arrived. While it’s close to the highway, we didn’t find the noise bothersome in the evenings, and the easy access was very convenient.The second bedroom is upstairs in a loft space without a door, which is helpful to know depending on your group. The cabin had most of what we needed. We did notice some signs of previous dog visitors (we did not bring ours), but nothing major.A few logistical notes: there is an additional 250 hold for potential damages not listed in the property details, and you must sign a separate, detailed agreement prior to arrival. After reviewing it, we didn’t find anything unreasonable. We inquired about checking in one hour early and were offered that option for a 50 fee (75 for two hours).The agreement mentioned firewood, which made us think we’d need it for heat, but the cabin was already heated when we arrived. Only two very small bath towels were provided, which wasn’t ideal for two guests using the hot tub (which requires showering beforehand—understandable).Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would return. We’d happily recommend it to friends with these details in mind. Thank you for a lovely getaway!

Disappointing

The cabin’s marketing pictures are a bit misleading. The location is handy but not very private and the hot tub faces a couple of neighbors. Despite the images, there is no full wood-shed and albeit they mention in the description to bring a little wood and kindling we ended up burning $80 worth for two nights. We were happy to get an early check in time but found a cabin not rental ready. The deck, hot tub and grill were all covered in debris from the trees. Inside there were wood bits on the floor that blatantly needs replacement. The cabin was absolutely freezing and the ancient baseboard heater behind the couch took hours to barely warm up, and the heater in the bathroom is broken, which the owners were aware of, but didn't bother to have it fixed prior to renting it out. A couple of space heaters were working but generated very little heat. All this stung even more when we watched other hosts stop at the neighboring cabins to blow debris off the decks, clean up, and load up the log racks outside their doors with firewood. The hot tub was set at 95 degrees so we didn’t use it the first evening. The cabin is cute and well laid out but needs some love. The "outdoor dining" area in the rear by the firepit was filthy and unusable. Not to mention, it was a bit of a bummer that we had to remove our own trash, when the cleaning fee is $175 for a 2 day stay. Overall we felt it was not worth what we paid and is far more "retro" than the Vrbo listing suggests.
