It’s beautiful, it’s grand, the staff is wonderful, there is unpretentious grandeur, there is history, there’s Tiffin, yes, there is Tiffin, there is…..I don’t know, it’s just perfect, absolutely perfect: we’re going back. And then this: we had forgotten to return our room keys at the end of our stay; on our way back through Singapore, we took a stroll through the area of the Raffles and decided to return our keys. The staff at the entrance greeted us with a smile and told us we shouldn’t have worried, that we could keep our key as a souvenir if we wished. And then he proceeded to get for us an old room key, from the days before the electronic versions: so now I have two sets of keys as souvenirs from the world’s absolute best hotel….we’re absolutely going back…

BEST DECISION EVER FOR SINGAPORE

Pros: I loved the entire hotel experience.
Cons: I would not change anything .
Location: The hotel is centrally located for the Suntec Conference Center, all types of restaurants, easy to get to the Botanical Gardens, & outdoor activities.
The Raffles Hotel in Singapore was memorable from beginning to end. The hotel was located just 2 blocks from the Suntec Conference Center for my international meeting. The room was more than a room, dressing area, large bedroom, and separate living room with table and 4 chairs, writing desk, another television, coffee/tea available, and fresh fruit daily. Robes and slippers were also available in our suite. The buffet and a la carte breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. In the Long Bar a lovely area Reserved for hotel residents was a nice touch. The hotel also gave 20% off some of the restaurants and we utilized this in the Writer's Grill and at the evening Curry Buffet. At our request, Mr. Nazir Assistant Manager gave us a wonderful tour of the historic hotel with information about some of the famous authors who have named suites. There were beautiful, exotic fresh flowers all over the hotel and the grounds had beautiful tropical flowers and plants as well. The entire staff was always helpful and knowledgeable. Raffles Hotel is an Experience, a Destination well worth the cost. I am so happy that I choose Raffles Singapore because I deserve the Raffles experience.
