They clean the room every day. Decent place overall. Room is very small, no cupboard nor bedside table, but there is big table. Double bed comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful. Bathroom has lot of mould on the ceiling that can be smelled in the room too if the air conditioner is not on, and there were some bugs in the bathroom but not in the bedroom. Hot shower water does not last long. Lucky they have separate tap for filtered water.

The hotel is a bit outdated and currently undergoing renovations, and I want to give a big thanks to Wilson and Hui Wen for making our stay so comfortable. While the area happens to be in the red-light district (something I only realized upon arrival), it really wasn’t an issue. The location is actually quite convenient—close to excellent restaurants and with easy access to the city. Once again, many thanks to Wilson.

Advertisements very misleading, it’s run-down, dirty and mold everywhere, this hotel would be shut down by western standards. Thankfully Expedia were very accommodating and helpful, issuing us a full credit. Hotel 81 Geylang worse than a hostel, Beware!

There is a reason why the price is low. The room is very run down and crying for renovations. Room is moist with mould. Room in need of pest control treatment with creepy crowlies when lights are off. Bath room hot water shower not lasting, door damaged by water and sink in need of replacement. Honest review.

The room could fit nothing more than the bed and the bottom of the walls looked extremely dirty all the way around the entire room. I did not feel comfortable even laying on the bed. The overall hotel looked very different from its counterpart Hotel 81 directly across the street.
