The room climate was great even with a centralised airconditioner where we can adjust the temperature according to our preference. Also Mustafa market being so proximate is so great for shopping.

There is only 1 common bathroom, that to extremely small and dirty. Caulking around the sink had black stains not sure what is was. Room was clean but had weird smell. Bed was comfortable.

You get what you pay for. Ok for a one night stay but wouldn’t recommend more. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to MRT station. Incredibly basic and not a comfy bed. Noise in the corridors was the loudest I’ve ever experienced. Constant noise up to 12/1am, and then from 6.30-9am.

Didn't have a great stay for a few reasons. We stayed on the 60th birthday of Singapore, which made the hotel very busy. The lobby was packed full of people and the staff seemed stressed out. The building is very old and needs a remodel. The bathrooms are very small, where you use the toilet and shower at the same time. Excessive use of bleach to clean the room made my eyes sting. The air con temp was hard to control so I was very cold during the night. I have stayed in a few of the Hotel 81 locations but this was the worst one. I wouldn't stay here again.

There was no window in our room, which made it feel very enclosed and isolated. There was also small ants in the room. We did not see any other bugs than the ants. The bed was hard as well, and the room was small. Exept from that it was okay, but a week there was a bit too long. The food nearby was amazing, there was also walking distance to MRT and shopping centres.

We found a nail in the bathroom!! And the hair on the sheets and those were also dirty, I’ll never recommend this place

Had a room without a window. It smelt musty. The room’s air conditioning ducts might need a good clean. The bathroom was a wet room, the layout meant that using the shower wet the whole floor as well as part of the sink and toilet bowl. The sealant on the walls in the bathroom showed signs of mould. However, it was a good location and the reception area looked good. The staff were efficient and helpful. I would certainly consider staying in a Hotel 81 hotel again, but would probably opt for a room with a window.

We had a terrible experience staying in this hotel. Unfriendly staff, dirty room and the room was not clean. We woke up with cockroaches around our bed and the next day we woke up with water leakage around our bed Wotif overcharged charged us unfairly. Not recommended for anyone from our side.

Awful. There are better options for the price. This was the last hotel for the end of my trip. I only needed to spend the night before my flight and I did not even want to stay in this hotel. There are better units for the cost. I only went with this because in the pictures looked better. Total deceived. Small. small, small. two twin beds is all it fit. mere space to move around. One of the beds was touching the "wall", painted glass, of the shower. There was some light still see through. The bathroom attrocios. Sorry, bathroom/shower. You shower above the toilet. We were two people and for sure one was going to make the room nasty for the other one. Super tiny. And last, but not least. Infested with either silverfish or ants, or some sort of crawling creature. We arrived very late, maybe 1am, and were going to leave around 6am...the front desk was already meh about our arrival, so we kind of close our eyes and avoid complaining since that for sure was going to keep us up and awake for longer. Please, search for another place.
