Hard to relax when you must watch your belongings at the pool closely! Our overall decent experience was overshadowed by theft at the pool and poor staff/security response. The snorkeling off the pier was the best part, food was plentiful but very mediocre and they ran out of items 30 mins into dinner and didn’t refill some. The staff were generally helpful and pleasant, but when my sunhat and cover up went missing at the pool, the response was frustratingly incompetent. After returning twice to Guest Services and then waiting over 20 minutes for Security, the response was that the guard wanted to help me search my room. My coverup and hat went missing from the pool & my family looked everywhere around the area because I didn’t want to walk back with nothing on! We knew the exact location and gave a short timeframe.
I had to walk back to our room in just a bathing suit and Security’s response was wanting to search my room- which meant they didn’t believe me. The camera footage ultimately showed me arriving with my items at the exact time & then they said they couldn’t see anything else and that theft has never happened at the resort before, and yet, they had a theft report form to complete. So, somehow they had a form ready for theft that never occurs… why? Their response was that they would do nothing about it. For their prices, they could have offered to make this right somehow. I wasn’t being irresponsible by leaving my wrap poolside. Choose elsewhere for these prices!
