Choose this hotel if location is important.

Pros: walk to subway, central location
Cons: No free Internet, no breakfast included
One of the older 5 star hotels. Convenient location to line 2 subway. Convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Lower price is not a "deal" due to what is not covered: internet at 20 USD per day; breakfast at similar pricing of 20 or more USD. Below average service.

Hotel was OK

Pros: nice room
Cons: No free Internet, no free breakfast, non english-spoken people
1.-I stayed with my wife and offered room was with 2 beds.I requested 1 queen bed but staff said I would be charged with additional 150USD per night. After long discussion I was allowed to change room at no charge. 2.-Breakfasts were not included in our package so we would be charged at 240 yuan/day each.After discussion we got 2 breakfasts at 160 Yuan. 3.-Internet was not free.After discussion I got free access only at the lobby and not in our room.Very uncomfortable!! 4.-Staff does not speak english!!!! Very difficult to understand. 5.-Restaurant was excellent.

This hotel has a good location in the downtown area with great shopping across the street. Room was clean and service is about average for this type of hotel.

Best Value for the area

Pros: Quiet
Best value for the area. Well located to shopping and dining. Walking NanJing Lu to the Bund. And museums. Excellent buffet breakfast. High quality bed and linen.

Great choice

My father and I stayed here Sept 11-16th, 2009. Excellent location, across from Ritz-Carlton, on the high-class end of Nanjing Rd. Probably no better shopping in Asia. Great restaurant choices in the vacinity, but don't miss the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at the hotel. Very accommodating staff with the many English speakers. Need something? Just ask. Five minute walk to subway.
