Wr stayed at Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden around the end of May, 2025 for about a week. The room was big enough for us a family of 4, including two adults and two pre-teenage kids with 2 queen size beds and one standard bed. The housekeeping was excellent as they cleaned the room and changed the towels daily. The staffs were very friendly and always willing to help if you have any questions.Transportation was very convenient with metro lines 10 and 14 within couple minutes walking distance. We were in Shanghai for family vacation and chose this hotel due to its location and proximity to major tourist attractions in Shanghai. The overall experience has been amazing and we will happily choose to stay at Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden when we come to Shanghai next time.

I've stayed here four times. Each time staff, service, room comfort and cleanliness was consistent. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The beds,, pillows and bed linens are top notch making for pleasant rest. The housekeeping, front desk, bell hop and concierge staff were always available, reliable and extremely accommodating. We used their luggage storage services, and it was so convenient as we used this hotel as a home base when traveling to Tongli and Vietnam. Overall, fantastic experience and highly recommend.

the location was perfectly in the central of everything. Got upgraded to a higher floor with a city view but the windows were quite dirty from the outside. We were told the roof bar was closed during our stay quiet disappointing, this was the reason I booked this hotel because of the night view from the roof top.

The location of this property is fantastic. It is near shops, restaurants, walking distance to Yu Gardens, Nanjing Road and an easy taxi to all the other areas. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful and professional! We had a seamless check-in and check out. The bell service and concierge helped us with ordering taxis and storing our luggage. Breakfast buffet staff were friendly and accommodating. We used the pool one evening, and again, staff was very nice. Our room #719 had the perfect view of the tops of Yu Gardens and the lights of some of The Bund buildings! Housekeeping was very thorough and attentive, always replenish water bottle and towel. They checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything including laundry service. We even experienced a mishap where we accidentally left credit cards in the taxi on our way to the airport. We called the hotel and worked specifically with Zoey Hu at the front desk who was able to recover the credit cards from the taxi driver. What would have been a very stressful situation, Zoey Hu went well above and beyond to save our day. Top notch service!! Thank you, Zoey Hu!!!! I've stayed at this hotel in 2019 and I'm so glad that we chose to stay here again.

This property is average, a bit old some rust on the doors of the washrooms. The room they gave us is over looking a construction site. It was difficult to speak with receptionists and costumer service as they barely speaks English. Wifi is poor and not allowed to browse foreign sites like fb, Netflix and YouTube. Food is okay nothing special. Another thing that I don’t like about this place is the very strong scent of air freshener in the lobby and ground floor which triggers my allergies.
