Good value clean hotel

Huge room, spotlessly clean with comfortable bed. Breakfast not the greatest value but ok. Very interesting Hudek-designed art deco/modernist building.

Good sized room, service could be better.

The room in the hotel was very nice a spacious and the facilities were generally good. One pet hate was the toiletries on the bathroom. Those small individual bottles aren’t overly eco friendly and were never enough for the couple of showers we took each day. The room had a balcony but the hotel restricts access which feels pointless. Our experience of reception when we checked in wasn’t that great. We are a gay couple and when reception queried the one bed and we confirmed it was ok, staff were clearly gossiping in Chinese about that. Not a great feeling. My other criticism was the WiFi which we could not log onto. We did try to get help from reception with no resolution.

Nice modern hotel, but staff barely speaks any English. They are nice though, so next time I need to brush up on my mandarin.

location of the hotel is great. breakfast choices are plenty. staff friendly. afternoon complimentary social tea time is a plus! room is a bit small with very small window that is not visible from the bedroom.

Shanghai weekend trip.

Very nice hotel with short walks to multiple metro stations. I was a little worried when I went to check in and the hotel had no sign of my booking through hotels.com. Thankfully the hotel had rooms in order to accommodate me.
