Location was nice and quiet, approx 1/2 mile from the subway which was inconvenient. The hotel offered a shuttle to the subway but it’s one way so lots of walking. Concierge was wonderful, helped us out with everything. We stayed on the 17th floor and it seemed to have some water leak that damaged all the hallway carpet which smelled moldy, that should be repaired. Overall it was a good hotel more like a 4 star, the view of the river made the stay.

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong for 3 nights. We originally booked a Club river view room and was upgraded to a suite. The room was a large size, big lounge area, bedroom and good size bathroom. Unfortunately the decor is all rather dated, and the carpet could do with a change. View was very good but the room needs a make over. The breakfast area was great with a good selection and in the end we didnt use the club benefits. The gym was well equipped. I would not stay again as there would be other hotels with better room accommodation.

Over all the experience is really good. However i did experience some issues during the stay which was quite slow to solve by the hotel. A lot slower than I expected. The room and other services has been amazing. Would visit again but would hope the team resolves issues a lot faster.

I had a very comfortable stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong. The rooms are spacious, the beds are extremely comfortable, and breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and consistently high quality. Service throughout was outstanding – attentive, professional, and always helpful. Transport was the only real challenge. There’s no metro nearby, and during peak hours many taxi drivers don’t want to cross the river. I found the ferry to be the best option – quick, reliable, and a nice way to get across. Overall, the hotel delivers on luxury and service. If comfort, great food, and top-class hospitality are your priorities, it’s an excellent choice.
