Overall good
Overall a good stay. The house only has two AC units, so some rooms can get warm. Communication with the host was okay—decently responsive. One nice feature is that all bedroom doors have private locking keypads, which added a sense of privacy and security. I would recommend it.
The description is accurate, but read it. No living room, no TV. Common areas are a small kitchen table and a great rooftop deck. Everything is clean and newish and check in was a breeze.
The building was close enough to walk to campus depending on your level of mobility. It does have quite a few stairs and there are two steps up from the driveway that has room to parallel park one car. We were able to find overnight street parking the next street over, but be careful because some streets don’t allow overnights. The kitchen is on the second floor next to one of the bedrooms. The second floor does not have a bathroom. Not every bedroom has air conditioners, but Seattle weather is generally cool in the nighttime so opening a window is ok for sleeping. Overall it’s a dorm type of set with basic amenities, furniture etc, but we had what we needed for the kitchen, bath, and laundry so worked well for us.
This property was great for my family. We each had our own room and they were comfortable and clean. It was close to Trader Joe’s and a wonderful local brewery. The only problem was that both bathtubs were dangerously slippery. I texted the host after we all showered in the morning after our arrival and he didn’t respond until the next day saying that he might be able to drop off a couple of non-slip mats for the tubs the following day. We were leaving that morning so it did us no good. Also the dishwasher stunk so we didn’t use it. It would have been nice if there were some regular glasses in the unit. There were only coffee mugs and wine glasses.
Great location, spacious and clean stay!We had a great stay at this multi-level home. The house was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with plenty of beds, desks, and lamps — which we really appreciated. It’s a four-story layout:Bottom floor: 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroomSecond floor: Kitchen and another bedroom (no living room, but there is a small kitchen table)Third floor: 2 more bedrooms and another bathroomFourth floor: Rooftop accessThe location was excellent — within walking distance to coffee shops, grocery stores, and Amazon lockers, which made things very convenient. There is no central air, and only two rooms (bedrooms 3 and 5) had AC units. The rest of the rooms could get quite warm at times, and we found ourselves wishing there were fans to help with airflow. Something to be aware of if you're visiting in hotter weather.Room 1 had light coming in from a neighbor’s porch light that stayed on all night. The blinds helped a bit, but if you’re sensitive to light, an eye mask would be a good idea.We had a small parking mishap and accidentally parked in the wrong stall, but the neighbor was understanding and kind about it. The host was very responsive and helpful — he answered my questions quickly and made the experience smooth.Overall, a great stay in a walkable area. The space worked well for our group, especially if you're looking for lots of sleeping areas in a clean, well-maintained home.
