Jennifer was extremely hospitable and jumped through hoops with a minor HVAC issue that was completely out of her control. She literally went above and beyond for us. Seal Cove was beautiful and her place was as described but better than we anticipated. I highly recommend her rental.

Jennifer was an incredible host! She communicated as well as any host I've ever had and included personal touches throughout. Her property is amazing and named as such. Tranquility Base was an absolute 5-star stay. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a way to visit Acadia without having to fight the crowds when you want some seclusion.

Wonderful retreat, comfy accommodations and very kind hostess. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed both the quiet side of island plus Bar Harbor and Acadia sites. Would certainly recommend!

This is a beautifully kept property in a stunning location. Very clean. Well kept space. The location is Quiet and intimate. A very special place. Didn’t need a full kitchen. Jenn the host is wonderful. She welcomed us on our arrival. Easy check in. She gave us great tips on how to get around and explore the area including Acadia park. Very informative and gracious host. We highly recommend and would stay again!

Tranquility

Words can not do this location justice.From the peacful changing of the tides, driving on back roads, spotting deer ,eagles. Every direction and day was an adventure. Jennifer far outshines other hostess we have had. She had pages printed out for us on places to see and go which she verbally added to during our stay. Our rooms were very tastefully decorated. The bedding was dreamy to sleep in all night. The shower was bright and airy.

Cozy and secluded getaway!

If you love nature and peace and quiet, you'll love this! Right on Seal Cove, walking distance to a picnic area with views of lobster boats, rocky beach, amazing sunsets, and surrounding isles. Our host was fabulous, knowledgeable about the island (she's a native), and very welcoming! The porch provided amazing views, and it was replete with binoculars for great sea life spotting! We love how we could still get around the island and return to a quiet retreat. We thought we'd miss having a kitchen, but in reality, we visited Mount Desert Island for the seafood. Picked up some groceries for breakfast and snacks on the way to the island from Bangor, and we were good to go! Perfect vacation for couples! A full constellation of stars for this retreat!

Staying on this property was a dream. Jennifer is an amazing host, and human as well! The property itself was bright, clean, and gave a very luxurious feel. Being able to wake up and walk down the driveway to watch the sunrise and sunsets was just incredible. Only about a half hour from bar harbor and Acadia was far enough from the tourist traps and crowds. I hope to return again!

Unforgettable Anniversary Accommodations

Words cannot express the amazing time we had in Maine while staying at Jennifer’s seaside estate! Her sense of style and attention to detail were seen throughout our quarters. Luxurious finishes and furnishings throughout made us feel comfy, cozy, and pampered. Her thoughtful and timely communication was key and much appreciated. She went above and beyond in welcoming us, ensuring our privacy, and making us feel valued. She genuinely cares about her guest's experience and we were thrilled to spend a little time getting to know her better. We are already talking about our return trip next year and definitely plan on staying with her again. Don’t hesitate to book this property. You won’t regret it!

Cozy Beach Cottage

My husband and I had a fabulous stay. We enjoyed being on the quiet side of the Island. The suit had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. Jenny was an amazing host and made us feel very welcomed. I highly recommend her place.

Amazing property and great host

Serenity and Warm Hospitality at Seal Cove

Believe the reviews! “Tranquility Base” could not be more aptly named. Want to experience the best sleep of your life surrounded by the beauty of Blue Hill Bay and just a mile away from Acadia? This is the place. Jennifer made sure every thoughtful detail in the unit was attended to and then some. Her pride of ownership means you will experience MDI as a well treated house guest rather than just another renter. if there is a more beautiful spot than the upstairs screen porch on the island I must have missed it. If you are looking to experience the “quiet side” of MDI, this is the place for solitude and an easy 15 minute drive across the park to get to SW Harbor. We didn’t mind the lack of a kitchen, between the fridge, the toaster and the nespresso machine we had plenty of room to have breakfast, make sandwiches for our Acadia adventures, etc. We have stressful jobs and really needed to unwind and unplug—Tranquility Base delivered on all counts and then some. Thank you.

30th Anniversary Trip

A wonderful property for an adult couple. Beautiful views, amazing location for easy access to outdoor activities. We kayaked, hiked, biked ans swam in less traveled venues within 10 minutes of this property. Jen was a wonderful host and a great resource regarding sights to see!

Sensational Seal Cove!

Great week in this beautiful tranquil spot. Well away from the busyness of Bar Harbor - the perfect recharge location. Property fabulously prepared, Jennifer wonderfully attentive to every detail. Could not have been better! Highly recommended.

First Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary while hiking in Acadia National Park and also visiting Bar Harbor. It sits right on the ocean and has a beautiful sunset! It was perfect!

Home away from home

We had the best experience staying in Jennifer's VRBO! Everything was impeccably clean. The bedding was comfortable and inviting after long days of hiking. This place had everything we needed to rest between our adventures. Jennifer made us feel at home and was a very kind and gracious host. It was wonderful making a new friend! And DO NOT miss out on the opportunity to gaze at the starry night skies right outside! AMAZING!

Absolutely quiet with a gorgeous view

This was out 1st trip to Maine and our 1st VRBO. Was a wonderful experience staying at Jennifer’s place. Her location was great for us! Staying along the waterfront with a quiet serene atmosphere. Her home was just as pictured, beautifully decorated, nice bed, and wonderful amenities for us. She recommended places to eat and see. Beautiful location and property

The property is located on a quiet cove, in a beautiful location on the quiet side of the island. This was perfect for us as we like to be away from the crowds. The whole island is easily accessible from this location. Everything about the property was spectacular. We chose this property both for the location and also from the other reviews noting the comfortable bed. The bed was very comfortable, as was the main living area. Jennifer has nicely decorated the unit and has everything you would want (minus a full kitchen). We ate breakfast using the toaster, microwave, and coffee maker, and that worked well for us. We spent the day sightseeing and hiking and ate our main meal at lunch or early afternoon. In the evening we ate at our lodging. This worked perfectly for our schedule. The Wifi worked well, which was important as we didn't have great cell signal. The view from Jennifer's screened in porch was beautiful, including the spectacular sunset before Hurricane Lee passed by. Jennifer made sure we had everything we needed in case we lost electricity. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk to Jennifer and get to know her a little. Thank you Jennifer for making our first trip to Maine so special! Elaine and Ron

We absolutely loved Seal Harbor. Jennifer out host was so kind and helpful . We brought our Keurig pods but she only had a expresso machine . When she saw the Keurig pods on the bar, she went out and purchased a Keurig machine without us even asking. SO KIND and THOUGHTFUL .. My husband and I travel alot and this was one of the cleanest , places we have stayed. The views are stunning also. I would def return here. Bar Harbor is a tourist trap but a lovely town. We loved Bar Harbor whale watching tour . We went out for 4 hours and saw 3 whales, dolphins and seals. I would recommend the tour but be early to get a seat . Even though we did not have a kitchen to cook , there was a small fridge , we managed to adapt b/c we were on vacation and did not want to cook anyway and chose to enjoy the small town diners.

Divinity when we needed it the most

The property is beautiful inside and out. We received tragic news our first morning there, and our host Jennifer provided us a harbor. Her kindness and wisdom helped us through our stay. Of course, VRBO wants to know about the property. We especially appreciated all the quality touches. Fresh garden flowers throughout the unit. Tasteful and personal touches in the decor. The small appliances are high quality, and that really makes a difference. All in all, it is a remarkably peaceful and relaxing spot of divine peace. Absolutely the best VRBO rental we’ve ever been to.

10 year Anniversary

This was just the perfect place for our 10 year anniversary. We could not have asked for a better hostess, Jennifer really helped to make this the comfortable, peaceful getaway we really needed! The sunsets are amazing, the beach and waves are literally steps away and the sounds of the birds and the water really help to take your stress away. The location is perfect. We highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Jennifer!
