The holiday home "De Kleine Bonte Specht" is located in the picturesque village of Schoorl and is a perfect place to relax. It consists of a living room, a very well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 3 bedrooms (2 with a single bed each), washing machine, a bathroom with toilet and offers space for 4 persons and a baby. The child-friendly holiday home has WLAN, cable TV, a cot and a high chair, a private garden, a terrace on the side (with parasol) and the front of the house and a barbecue. Here you and your family can enjoy homemade meals. The children's play forest is close to the house and is ideal for children who want to play outside in a safe environment.

The nearest shops, restaurants and cafes are just 10 minutes walk or 800 meters from the house, while the nearest beach can be reached by walking or cycling through the dunes in 4.5 km. By car it is 5 km to Camperduin where there is a parking area.

The Schoorlse Duinen is a dune area located west of Schoorl. They are the highest (55.4 meters) and widest (5 km) dunes in the Netherlands. In the middle of the centre of Schoorl lies the famous Klimduin. At a height of 51 metres, it can call itself the highest dune in the Netherlands and once you're at the top, you walk straight into the forest and dune area of Schoorl.

If you are looking for a challenging, varied mountain bike route then the Schoorlse Duinen are also the right place for you. Here lies the 15 km long and 5 km wide 'Mountain Bike Trail Schoorl', which will lead you through dense coniferous forest, steep dunes and extensive heathland.

If you are at the holiday home, you can park on the front or across the road.
Behind the house is a covered area for storing bicycles.
The beds are made for you on arrival.
