We had a perfect long weekend as a family. Everything was exactly as pictured and there’s nothing we’d change. From the moment we pulled up the driveway and opened the door, we couldn’t have been more pleased. The rooms are large with comfy beds, the bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is well stocked. Hosts were kind and communicated quickly. Our favorite part was the drive in-felt magical and as if we were in a story book. The moss on the ground, circular driveway, and being secluded in the trees felt so calming. Highlands Outpost was surprisingly so close and even on a rainy day, we had plenty to do in the house together. We will be back!

Great host. . Great location . Super clean and updated Cannot say enough good things about nestle inn and Mrs Linda. This place was great for my kids ( 1 and 3 years old). Gas fire pit was so easy and convenient for the time span of our kids and perfect for smores. Also thanks to Mrs Linda and the advice of the local waterfall within ten minutes of the cabin. Great little hike for me and my three year old.

This home was absolutely perfect! Even more beautiful than the photos. Open floor plan was very comfortable and inviting. Kitchen had everything to cook full meals which we did several times. Our host was very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed chatting with her. The location was perfect and natural surroundings lovely. Loved the firepit and fireplace. We couldn’t have had a better time. We can’t wait to go back. We miss it already.

The NestleInn is an amazing retreat! Private, cozy, clean, and a good base for adventures around Franklin, Highlands and Cashiers. Our family has fallen in love with the mountain moss, the fire pit, the porches, the various inside amenities and thoughtful touches. It’s become our happy place. The host is wonderful.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The design, the cleanliness, the amenities, the furnishings, the location, it was all more than we expected. We wished we had booked a longer stay. On the final morning we were blessed by a visit by a beautiful yellow cat to finalize our stay at NestleInn. We could not have hoped for a better setting to enjoy a visit with our great friends!

This property was amazing. If you are visiting the Highlands or High Holly vineyards and want to be right outside of the crowds, this is the perfect location. Perfect Mountain Getaway

We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Linda & Bill and the Nestle Inn. The house was lovely, well appointed and comfy. We walked in and felt right at home. The kitchen had to be the best stocked kitchen in a vacation rental we've ever seen - no hunting for a bottle opener or kitchen scissors here! The front and back porches were exceptional with lots of cushy seating to enjoy the mountain air and views. The house was full of thoughtful extras like dish detergent, laundry soap, paper towels, board games, firepit and even a sweet treat in the freezer :) Located between Dillard, GA and Highlands, NC the location was a perfect base point for our adventures in hiking, boating and chasing waterfalls. Be sure to visit the Highlands Outpost and ride the Scaly Mountain Screamer - the favorite of our kiddos. We had a wonderful time and would come back and stay again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful time at the Nestle Inn

It took us no time at all to nestle in at the Nestle Inn. The house was beautiful and we felt very secluded and peaceful on the property. We have been vacationing in the area of my entire life so we love the location. The property owners were quick and responsive for the few questions we had and left us the most delicious cinnamon rolls that we ate for breakfast our first morning. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

Outstanding in every way.

Linda has done a marvelous job with this cabin. It is exquisitely decorated, incredibly clean, and beautiful. Every detail was attended to--from creamer, coffee pods, and cinnamon rolls waiting, to plush cozy bedding, oversized towels, heated bathroom floors, several huge outdoor spaces with ample seating, games, outdoor fire pit, huge TVs, very updated/clean kitchen and bathrooms, and so on. Truly a spectacular space that is very well cared for. We will be back.

Sweet as the mountain air

We loved our time at Nestle Inn. It was perfect for our family of 5. We felt right at home in this beautiful cozy home. We appreciated the comfy beds and spacious bathrooms, sitting on the porch in the mornings and listening to the birds. The kitchen is well stocked and the cinnamon rolls Linda left for us for breakfast were delicious! What a great place to enjoy!

Family Highlands Vacation

Memories that will last a lifetime were made in this lovely home just outside of Highlands, NC. The owner was very easy to communicate with and provided us with everything we needed. There were even cinnamon rolls in the freezer for us to cook one morning. We enjoyed hiking, zip-lining, and LOTS of Monopoly! Property was very clean and accurately described. We can’t wait to come back!

Restful Retreat

This home is perfectly situated near many quaint towns for shopping and dining, as well as hiking, falls, and adventurous zip lines and family ropes courses. The owners had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and even left gourmet cinnamon rolls for us to bake our first morning there. We can’t wait to come back!

Great mountain home

Had a great stay in Scaly Mountain! Will definitely be back again. Worth noting, the route to Highlands from the house is closed due to the hurricane washing out the road. Apparently it’ll be fixed in January. Not a huge issue though, just have to go the long way

Private and relaxing getaway

The property is amazing!!! Very private and secluded. The home is very cozy, perfect for relaxing, and close to area attractions. Communication from the owner was great. This was our 2nd visit to Nestleinn and can't wait until next time.

Nice time despite Helene

We were very happy to be up high in the beautiful woods! Every window has a forest view which is very peaceful. We arrived before Hurricane Helene. The eyewall passed right over us at night with lots of rain and wind. No damage to our house and we Never lost power! Linda and Bill came and checked on us the next day. They were very helpful in keeping us up to date on road conditions and internet and stores that were open. We enjoyed our daily walks in the neighborhood and the beautiful waterfall close to our house. Even though we didnt get to do all we had planned, we had a wonderful time right at our place, playing games, cooking, and having a great family time together! We would love to come back!

Another great stay

This is my second stay at this property. As before everything was terrific. The photos highlight how incredible the home is. In person the home just feels comfortable. There are so many places to relax and spread out. I'll definitely be returning. And Linda is super communicative if anything arrises. If you are looking for a getaway in the woods and a place to relax this should be high on your list.
