I would rate our stay a 2 out of 5. Let me explain why.We stayed in the Cambridge Room at the Belvedere, and there was actually a lot that we liked about it. The room was interesting, clean, and had a lot of character. It also had a charming little dormer-window sitting area that we absolutely loved. The grounds were beautiful, the building itself was great, and overall, we really liked the room.Unfortunately, the bed was awful. It appeared to be two box springs stacked on top of one another, and the two nights we stayed there were some of the most uncomfortable nights of sleep either of us has had in a long time.Ultimately, a hotel room is first and foremost a place to sleep, so having such an uncomfortable bed feels like a pretty significant miss. There was so much to like about the Belvedere (the grounds were great, the building was great, and the room itself was great) but the bed was awful. Unfortunately, that one issue had an outsized impact on our stay and is the reason for the 2-star rating.
