Room was OK, clean. Hallway and lobby smelled terrible. Could hear guests late (after 12 midnight) music, talking, yelling.

Clean updated room. No Carpet in rooms. I checked them with my bare feet. Nice and clean,no grit on my feet. Hotel was quiet with no highway noise..Brightly lit parking lot. Beds were comfortable, too. Manager told me they will get new carpet in the hallways in a few weeks. Over all great experience for a reasonable price.

Stopped here on our way to Ft Myers Beach. We wanted to meet a friend for breakfast before moving, and the staff was very helpful with suggestions that were close by! We plan to stay again next year.

Not so much...

Pros: The staff was friendly. Housekeeping did a great job.
Cons: Pretty much everything else.
Location: There are restaurants, some shopping and gas within 2 blocks. The beach (Siesta Key for which the hotel claims its name) is almost 7 miles out.
The first room I was assigned had an A/C unit that did not work. The halls were about 80 degrees and smelled. The hall colors were medium grey and lime green. The carpets were fashionable in the 70's. The second room I was assigned smelled of mildew and felt damp the entire four days I was there - regardless of the temperature I set on the A/C. The safe would not lock. The curtains were partially pulled from the rod and did not close well. However, the staff was very friendly and wager to help - just not eager enough to offer a discount for all my trouble. I spoke with one staffer that told me that there has been massive improvements over the last year. Holy Crap! The complimentary breakfast was not bad, but could have offered fresh fruit, more than two types of cereal and would it kill you to offer something unhealthy like donuts or danishes? For those looking to get a cheap room and get what you pay for, this is the place. If you want a place with a higher bar....not so much.

Close to our business

Pros: Clean and quiet.
Cons: The location is hard to get to. I am not sure what you could do unless putting in a more direct driveway or better signs to get to the hotel.
Location: We were there for a family event and did not have time to do any sightseeing or go to the beach.
The room overall was clean and quiet. We arrived after a long busy day but when we started to get things ready for the next day, we noticed there was only one towel for the two of us. We were given a couple more towels but later I noticed a notice in the room that all towels that are missing will be charged to us when we leave. We asked about that but was told that we would not be charged in this instance. We did not take advantage of the breakfast provided. The one complaint we had is with the beds. I am 5'6" tall and the top of the mattress hit me at my waist. It was very difficult to get into bed. Once there, it was one of the more comfortable beds that we have had at any hotel. The in room refrigerator and microwave was a plus. Except for the towel situation and the height of the bed, it is definitely worth considering.
