Comfortable, spacious for 2, great view from master bedroom
Situated on a nice spot directly across the road from the beach/pool. Although a road runs in front it is still quiet, probably because the building is elevated. The master bedroom has a full length & width window providing a great view of the ocean. A small wood stove and access to a fuel source were nice, especially as there were a few cool nights while we were there in April 2016. The floor plan is a little odd in that the main entrance is on the second floor, and you go down the stairs to main level. Not bad, just odd.
We used this as a base to explore the northern part of the island from Seixal to Santana. We also visited the easternmost tip of the island, although we found rather than heading east on VE1 (which we had done already the day before to Santana), it was faster to go south across the island on VE4 and then east on VR1.
Communicating with Andrea and Rui was easy and pleasant, both via email and in person. I would recommend staying at this property.
