Great two night stay. The staff was very friendly and serviceable. Waiter Maiki was great and Pablo made the best frozen mojitos I’ve had. It’s not a five star resort but it definitely exceeded expectations. The one negative is the staff who try and sell you a timeshare.

Emotions by Hodelpa in Juan Dolio is a great place to stay! The staff; starting from the gardeners to upper management are friendly and bend over backwards to meet your every needs. The premise is well taken care of. The gardens are beautiful; surrounded by gorgeous trees, shrubs and exotic foliage. The rooms and public restrooms are very clean. For me, that’s very important. The variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet stations is quite extensive. It’s very hard to choose what to eat as everything looks quite yummy! The restaurants, Ameci and Oregano’s cuisine is a must to go and enjoy a phenomenal dinner! (These were the two we tried as our stay was short). Domingo incarnación, Marcos Rincón, Francisco and Yesenia Hernandez treat people like royalty! Again, they’re very friendly and accommodating. My family and I felt welcomed at Hodelpa! I would definitely stay there again! I totally recommend this hidden treasure!

Pros- Food, location, beach party & staff friendliness. Cons- Bathroom cleanliness, Club Essentia’s room size, receptions lack of communication & their drinks. My family and I booked 3 rooms for 3 days and 2 nights. The food was amazing, there wasn’t one dish we tried that we didn’t enjoy. The hotel was extremely close to the beach which made it very comfortable for us being that we traveled with 2 infants. Their beach party Monday night was so fun, they had us all laughing our behinds off! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They had smiles on their faces 24/7 and weren’t expecting a tip (which made us tip them very well). Unfortunately there were a few things that had us very unhappy. We found all 3 bathrooms filthy! There was mold and a lot of dirt around the toilet and sink. The bathrooms are not cleaned thoroughly and on our second day I had to call reception so that someone can clean our room. They immediately sent someone but the cleaning lady ended up putting damped sheets on our beds. I booked 1 room in the “Club Essentia” section (VIP area with a private pool and private beach section) but that room was very small. The room was for 2 adults and 1 child and it felt like if we were walking into each other after every step. Reception failed to inform us that we (club essentia) were entitled to all international drinks and all the benefits. The drinks were watered down. Overall it was an ok experience but I don’t think we’ll be returning to this hotel.

Not as Advertised

Pros: Good food, nice setting with lilly ponds, resident birds (flamingoes), shaded ground with lot of tall trees
Cons: Outdated room (cracked bathroom sinks, holes in drapes, ants crawl around in the room, only local portable ac unit, water luke warm, public pool dirty
Disappointed, minibar was advertised as free but only has water and coke, room was outdated, beach has lot of seaweed.

Excellent Resort! Will return

What I mostly liked about this resort was there was always something to do. They had a great variety of food (delicious). The staff are just amazing! They were extremely nice and always with a positive attitude. In Emotions by Hodelpa I was treated more then just a simple guest. Everywhere I went, I was kindly greeted.

Girlfriend Getaway

My besties and I had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out their way to make our stay a pleasure. A rental car is a must, if you would like to visit Punta Cana. It's about a 2 hour drive but worth it.....

Perfect beach vacation....

Positives: perfect beach, heavy hand when it comes to the pouring drinks, great food dominican dishes on the buffet, updated bedroom with balcony, front desk staff speaks english, and great service with smiles. Negatives: zero.....
