Close to city centre, excellent food in the morning and also in the evening (best, compared to other restaurants we tried in the area), helped us find a rental car/motorbike and gave us good recommendation on the must see and do in Santiago.

Stay was very nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend their breakfast as it was very good. They have a very garden like dining area. Vey peaceful during breakfast. Location is close to all the tourist sites and parks (within walking distance). Parking in parking lot across from the property, very safe. Room was large, with a fridge. Staff spoke English and I spoke some Spanish. We had NO problem communicating. I did improve my Spanish speaking. Definitely a must for a visit. Also chance to mingle with the Cuban people for better understanding of their culture and life. They are a very happy and friendly people.

Nuestra estancia en la casa colonial ha sido muy acogedora y cómoda, las personas que se ocupan de este alojamiento nos han facilitado las cosas en todo momento, atentos a las necesidades que pudiéramos tener, asesorandonos sobre los lugares a visitar en Santiago y nos han proporcionado ayuda con algunas dificultades o contratiempos recomendamos el desayuno variado y abundante, muy buena opción alojarse en la casa colonial 1893 en Santiago, muy buena relación calidad/precio y un lugar donde se retrocede en el tiempo.

Would not recommend

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hostel, particularly if you end up with a room facing the street. The rooms have wooden windows that offer little sound insulation, and the street noise continues throughout the night, making it challenging to get a good night's sleep. Furthermore, the prices for drinks here are higher than the local rates.

Positivo : El personal hace todo lo posible por ayudar. Cocinar comidas, cambiar dinero, encontrar un taxi, etc. La casa es colonial, techos altos, patio. Está situada en el centro, cerca de la plaza principal y de la calle peatonal. Negativo: La casa está junto a una calle muy transitada y un aparcamiento - los coches hacen mucho ruido. Sólo los dos dormitorios del lado del salón son menos ruidosos.

Sehr gute Lage in der Albstadt. Leider auch sehr laut in den Zimmern ohne Fenster (ohne Ohrstöpsel ist an Schlaf nicht zu denken), der Patio, wo auch gegessen wird, ist dagegen sehr ruhig. Zum halben Zimmerpreis konnten wir noch bis 21 Uhr im Zimmer bleiben.

Das Casa Colonial wird von sehr engagierten, freundlichen Menschen betreut. Die Lage ist perfekt, wenn auch am Abend und ab 5.00 Uhr am Morgen der Verkehr laut ist. Aber die Gäste sind sofort an zentralen Plätzen. Klare Empfehlung!

Die Lage ist sehr gut, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, wir haben aber die meisten Zeit im wunderbaren Innenhof verbracht. Alles ist sehr geschmacksvoll und traditionsgemäß eingerichtet. Die Managerin des Hauses und das Personal kümmern sich ausgezeichnet um die Gäste, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Keine Frage bleibt unbeantwortet, man erfährt sehr viel über die Stadt und ihre Geschichte - und das war uns auf unsere Kuba-Rundreise sehr wichtig. Die servierten Speisen und Getränke waren auch ausgezeichnet. Auch spät in der Nacht bekommt man auf Wunsch einen Drink serviert.

Una estancia muy agradable, en pleno corazón de Santiago, cerca de la Catedral, de la Plaza de Marte y la calle Heredia. Entorno muy agradable y comidas abundantes y ricas. La situation proche du centre et de la place Cèspedes. La chambre spacieuse, la hauteur de plafond et le style colonial. Le patio pour la détente et les repas. Le système de trois petits déjeuners au choix mais dont le moins cher n'a pas de café.
