One-night stay..if you have to.
We needed to book a room last minute for the Formula 1 Gran Prix in Monaco. There was not much available, so we stayed here. The Italian concierge was extremely friendly, the owner not at all. This is an alright place if you are 20 yrs old and are literally just using it to sleep for a night. The room next door was filled with 20 yr olds and that's who their clientele caters to. The rooms are damp, moldy and dark, The beds are cheap and uncomfortable. The showers look like a men's dirty locker room. Fresh towels and linens, but that's about it. It's not nice, it's over-priced and definitely do not stay here if you want a vacation experience in San Remo. Oh, the breakfast was also not good, sweet store bought croissants and coffee is just okay. If you are on a vacation, do not stay here, but if you need a place to sleep for one night only then it's okay.

Hotel Sorrisso
This was the cheapest hotel we could find in Sanremo and for that it was definitely not bad. Great location, very close to Sorriso's only nightclub and also the main square with restaurants etc. However Sanremo is very small anyway so any hotel would not be that far. 24hr reception was very handy and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was a little disappointing (although they make great coffees!) and our room was very small and dark, although clean, but this was not a problem because we didn't spend much time in the room. As budget travellers we still felt it was a little pricy, but overall a good experience.
