The home is well located to both the beach and dining establishments in Sandwich. It provided a great jumping off point for us to explore Sandwich and the neighboring areas. We booked this trip fairly last minute so our options were limited. If visiting the area again, likely wouldn’t rent this home again. You must rent linens (which is clearly outlined in the listing) but it made for the check-in process a little bumpy as they were placed in a downstairs closet. If arriving late in the evening, you will have to be prepared to make all beds. The home needed to be cleaned more thoroughly - there were a lot of spiders/dead bugs, dust bunnies, and spiderwebs in the home which we had to clean. It should also be noted that there aren’t any working locks on the bathroom or the bedrooms. There also isn’t a deadbolt on main access door - so anyone with a code could enter the home at anytime. Maintenance work needed to be completed during our stay but we weren’t given a heads up as to when it was happening. It was a surprise to find out that someone had been in the home while we were out at the beach. There wasn’t any general counter top cleaner, initial trash bags that are provided don’t fit the bin, and the washing machine seems to be in need of service (it has a very moldy/damp smell and didn’t really clean our clothes as we would have expected). Overall, the location is great but the home needs a deep clean and some other aspects addressed before it’s a five star stay.
