San Vito Lo Capo is an amazing destination and we had a wonderful overall time in Sicily, but unfortunately, our stay at Giuseppe’s place was tumultuous to say the least.Our issues began on our very first morning (a Sunday), when we were woken up early by construction works being done on the property that lasted until 11:00 AM. To make matters worse, the toilet was completely broken and unusable for an entire day because it wasn't affixed to the floor and the flush was actively leaking water everywhere. While I understand it was a Sunday and the owner managed to get a plumber out on Monday, this is the kind of major issue that should have been prevented beforehand.The property itself lacked the most basic amenities: no toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags were provided. Furthermore, the mattress was of incredibly poor quality; we woke up with severe back pain every single day of our stay. Finally, we traveled with our dogs, and the host failed to mention that the backyard is constantly roamed by free-ranging stray cats, meaning we couldn't let our dogs enjoy the outdoor space at all.While the area is beautiful, the lack of preparation and comfort at this property made it a very stressful experience. We would not stay here again.
