Nice stay at an economy hotel that accepts dogs.

The hotel is under new management and the lobby is being remodeled. It did not affect our stay which was fine for our weekend stay. Very happy that Azul Inn San Simeon accepts owners with a dog.

Azul stay in San Simeon

It was a nice place to stay; the bed was comfortable and the location to go to Hearst Castle was perfect. The only downside was the renovations that was happening at the facility but didn’t interfere what we had planned. The staff were very courteous and friendly.

Someone opened the my room while my daughter was asleep. I had left to get us breakfast and I think someone noticed the car gone. Probably thought we were not in our room. My daughter called me, very panicked that someone was trying to enter the room, they had a an extra room key but when they heard my dog bark they left. My daughter opened the door later to see if it was probably the cleaning crew but there was no cart on anyone on site. They are also doing renovations so we were woken up at 7 in the morning by construction crew climbing on ladders near our window and a bunch of drilling and foot steps on top of the roof. Very unpleasant experience.

Dirty and musty

My wife and mother-in-law and sister-in-law did a girls trip. I guess the room was very musty. The bathrooms were not clean so they went and got their money back and went to a different hotel

Four walls and a bed👎👎

The hotel is in the middle of a renovation but even with that the rooms are extremely outdated and the grounds need a lot of maintenance and repairs. Restrooms have horrible water pressure and the towels might as while been paper towels Overall I would not recommend staying here to anybody if you have a choice

The staff was very courteous even helped my nieces with their bags as they were struggling to get them up the stairs. No elevator and the stairs are extremely old cement with sharp edges. The entire building is old, hallway rug is dirty and stained. The property is poorly kept and needs some remodeling. No coffee maker in the room, only provided with one pillow per person and no blankets. I was cold all night. The water in the shower kept changing temperatures in the middle of showering from extremely hot to cold.
