Nice quiet hotel above San Sebastián.

A great hotel with helpful staff, a nice view, and good breakfast. Nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Sebastián. No restaurant for dinner but just a short walk to an area of local restaurants. I highly recommend Hotel Nicol’s!

This is a country side style hotel, just so close to San Sebastián . Ideal location para hikers and walkers !!! Could be a walk to the beach , However , it has a bus service with a good scheduling. Hotel provides breakfast only.

This is a nice place but we didn’t get any sleep. There was a dog barking all night long then a rooster started in at 5 am. This is in a rural area a little out of town for my likings. Not convenient. The staff was real nice and it was clean.

We were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman who took the time to explain where we were and what facilities were available to us. The location was spectacular and it was so nice to have some outside space. There was a cafe and restaurant on site and the breakfast gave us plenty of choice. We absolutely loved it and really didn't want to leave. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

A little clam outside San Sebastian

I loved the setting of the hotel in the heights of Monte Igeldo. It is a bit outside the city and really feels like the countryside. The people are friendly and we appreciated their services.

Quaint hotel but terrible road

The road to the hotel is very steep and narrow - a comment on the website should be made. We didn’t do for dinner as we were concerned about driving it at night.

Very helpful and welcoming staff

We were given a very warm welcome and the receptionist was very helpful, giving us advice on how to get the local buses and where to visit. Clean room - shame we didn't have a sea view but the room was very quiet which was welcome.

A little gem in the hills above San Sebastian

Apprehensive about the distance of the hotel from downtown San Sebastian, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was just a small downhill stroll from a bus stop which went to the heart of San Sebastian. It had a beautiful view overlooking the Atlantic and a wonderfully helpful support staff, especially Sergio. It even had free computer access right in the lobby; most of the pricier hotels had no computer access at all. It's simple and plain but a quiet and beautiful place to stay.

Everything very clean and well maintained, could use some renovation but very good for its price. The location of the hotel is great, lots of opportunities for an easy hike with great views (tip: walk down the Camino Tximistarri and closer to the end of it start following the signs for "Mirador"). There are two types of rooms - with a view on the ocean and view on the garden (also not bad). Lots of parking space in the shadow of trees. Short and scenic drive to the city. 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk to Monte Igueldo (I recommend the Alai restaurant there). Staff is super nice, I could speak both English and basic Spanish with them. On-site restaurant is very basic but overall not bad. Wi-Fi sometimes unstable.
