Modern Luxury Studio Suite - Steps To Beach & Short Walk to Town

A beautifully appointed studio apartment with private patio and pool located in a small development within a 2 minute walk to the beach.

Start your day with breakfast on your garden patio. Next, take a swim in the pool or relax under our beautiful guanacaste tree. Plan your day with an activity from your Welcome Book or stroll the beach and explore San Juan del Sur.

The studio boasts a dinning/sitting area with 32" TV. We have a queen bed with pillow top mattress and cable TV and internet are included. Other amenities include ample closet and storage space. There is also a programmable safe for your electronics and valuables.

The property includes a large garden area for relaxing, yoga or hanging out with friends. If the sun gets too hot, you can always retreat to the shaded grotto or take a dip in the pool.

Being this close to town, it isn't necessary to rent a car or 4x4 but street parking is readily available if needed. A note to visitors: you should be aware that many of the properties listed as being in San Juan del Sur are actually located farther out of town on poorly maintained dirt roads that require vehicle rental or dependence on taxis or shuttle services for transportation. Amazing hosts, property needs some work
Pros: The property managers are absolutely wonderful and provide all of the information you need. They're available at any hour. They will help you call a taxi or anything you need. They even killed a scorpion for us in the middle of the night. There's also security at night. Cons: It's a taxi ride to town so staying downtown is likely much easier. There isn't coffee in the unit or anywhere nearby. We lost electricity on the second night and had to pack in the morning for a 6-hour shuttle ride. Because we hadn't had any electricity for ac, we didn't sleep. We woke up and had to cross borders and are on a 6-hour ride without coffee. Just having coffee would be a huge improvement since there's none nearby and nothing is open in town when many depart on shuttles. Packing in the dark after seeing scorpions was also pretty scary. Although our trip was hot and coffee-less, I would still give it three stars for the amazingly helpful hosts. The unit is also very cute and the one night we had A/C it worked well. Our long , sleepless, hot night followed by a long, hungry, coffee-less shuttle to CR made for a rough day overall. I think for a longer trip where you can go to the grocery store this place would be very nice. Maybe for 2-4 day trips, stay in a hotel in the city center :) The pool is lovely for a longer trip and a family.

Unique, très confortable et bien situé
Quelle belle surprise! Le condo est vraiment confortable et bien conçu comme studio. L'environnement est des plus agréable avec piscine et grand terrain avec un seul arbre immense. La situation à quelques minutes de la plage et en retrait du centre-ville (15 minutes à pied) contribue à avoir la tranquillité tout en ayant accès à la ville facilement. Nous y sommes restés 2 semaines et avons quitté à regret. L'accueil de Paul, les explications à l'arrivée ainsi que le service tout au long du séjour sont exceptionnels! Thanks Paul!

Great stay in SJDS
We had a wonderfully relaxing 5 night stay at La Talenguera. The condo was darling and incredibly well thought out. It is better than the pictures show. It's also very comfortable and has all of the modern amenities including air conditioning, hot water, drinkable tap water and toilets that flush paper. We loved the patio and the pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping and the gorgeous tree. We walked to town daily ( about 20 min). You'll need decent shoes. A very sweet beach town with good restaurants and warm ocean water. I can't say enough about Paul and Ann. They were very responsive and even let us borrow a coffee pot when we broke ours and couldn't find a replacement...all with a smile. They are both so willing to help and give ideas on what to do and see. They also are a great help with transportation. There was some construction, but it didn't present a problem. The workers try to be as unobtrusive as possible. All in all, one of our best finds on VRBO.

Like a Luxury Boutique Hotel, Only Better!
We spent a month in this unit and it completely exceeded our expectations. Throughout our stay, we felt that we were getting the benefits of staying in a luxury boutique hotel with a few additional benefits, at a fraction of the cost. This complex is beautifully designed and we didn't see anything else like it in, or around, San Juan del Sur. There are thoughtful design details throughout both the exterior and interior. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The inside of the unit is aesthetically pleasing and the space is efficient for the size. The rock floors, wood cabinetry, poured concrete counter/ sink, simple furniture, big windows on three sides, dimming lights - it all comes together perfectly. A few favorite details: - The kitchen is tiny but very workable. I enjoyed cooking most mornings and several evenings. We even cooked a three-course dinner for friends! I appreciated the high quality cookware, powerful two-burner cooktop, and toaster oven. - The pool is wonderful. There is a small, shaded grotto area backed with a fern wall. Since the pool receives quite a bit of shade throughout the day, it stays cool and refreshing - perfect for cooling off after a long, hot day at the beach. - The tree in the center of the complex is magnificent. We enjoyed sitting on the patio (surrounded by potted plants - nice touch), reading and watching the birds in the tree, and even catching a glimpse of the bay in the distance. The location of this unit was perfect for us. We felt extremely safe in the neighborhood, even after dark. The complex is just far enough outside of town to avoid the party noise and traffic, but close enough that we often walked to town several times a day. We especially enjoyed walking to the Jesus statue nearby, and continuing over the hill to Nacascolo Bay - a secluded beach surrounded by bluffs and dense vegetation. We even spotted monkeys on a few of our walks to Nacascolo. Paul and Anne were excellent hosts. They were so helpful from the moment we booked. Our questions were all answered quickly and they assisted with valuable transportation information and contacts. When we arrived, they were attentive and extremely responsive, but low-key and unobtrusive. We hope to return to San Juan del Sur in the future and we would hope to stay in this unit again. I can't think of a single reason why we would consider a different rental option

PERFECT place to enjoy all of San Juan Del Sur
We recently stayed for 6 nights...we had only planned 5, but loved it so much we opted to stay 1 more! This is the perfect home base location for enjoying San Juan Del Sur. It's an easy walk to the beach or to town and the main road that leads to all the beaches is just right around the corner. It is the perfect location for enjoying invigorating morning walks up to the Christo statue which overlooks the little town and bay. We found the condo to be the perfect size for the two of us. There is not a full kitchen...just the basics, but you don't really need or want a full kitchen if you're there for a short time. The back deck is full of plants and overlooks the pool and seems to welcome a constant breeze. We found our time there to be peaceful and refreshing. Paul and Ann are the perfect hosts! They gave us a thorough run-down on beaches, restaurants and other places to visit and were always available if we needed anything, including taking our laundry to town when they took theirs. There was construction going on next door while we were there, but it never bothered us. We were usually up by 7 anyway enjoying our coffee on the back porch and then we spent the day at various beaches. I highly recommend this as a couple getaway!
