I had a reservation for February 6–8 that was booked and paid in full on December 29. Upon arrival on Feb 6, I messaged the host for check instructions and she informed me that the unit was unavailable due to being occupied. I did not receive advance notice that the reservation would not be honored, and it was still active at the time of check-in.Because the unit was unavailable, I needed to find alternative accommodations on short notice during SuperBowl weekend/ birthday trip. The reservation was not canceled by the host, which delayed the refund process. I contacted VRBO support for assistance in resolving the situation and found alternative lodging that was 1k more last minuteThis review reflects my experience with the booking and check-in process.
