Lack of a lift is a negative. The passageways skirting boards were removed and it looks unmaintained. Perhaps in the process of being replaced, but a notice should then be put up.

It was ok, very clean but small. The check in went fairly smooth as we had to fill out a form. Arrived late, 11:30pm., after a bad taxi ride as the Driver wanted 400 Rand for a 5 minute ride! We negotiated to 200 which was a little much but we’re tired from the lengthy flight. Walked back with baggage to the terminal as it as easy and direct.

Reception was not busy, but we were made to wait and treated like an inconvenience, no eye contact, given a 2nd floor room when we had previously requested a ground floor, waited for key to room whilst receptionist chatted on phone. Fortunately room was clean and adequate. Left at 0500 in the morning no probs getting thru Lodge Gate.

The room was clean and comfortable. The lady at reception was very slow, and sometimes looked as if she did not know what was going on. That was very frustrating. I had submitted all my information online when I had made the booking, yet everything had to be re-entered, which took very long.
