Thanksgiving 2024

This house was very conveniently located and spacious! We loved having the dock on the creek for fishing and there is a nice yard for the kids to play. Check- in/out instructions were easy and clear.

Canal house

My family of 4 teenage boys, a 14 month old baby boy and 7 adults really enjoyed staying at the canal house. Lots of room for my big family, gorgeous views of the water, comfortable, fishing, porches, easy access are just a few of the reasons we enjoyed our stay there!

Great Girls Trip

It was my first trip to Fripp but will not by my last! iTrips was awesome to work with and very knowledgeable and quick to respond. This house had plenty of beds and baths for the 9 of us. We loved sitting out on the dock and just soaking up all of the beautiful sunshine. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Beach accesses and the Marina were very close.

FrippsGiving 2022

Our Family had a great time at this amazing house on the Canal at Fripp. The house had great outdoor areas to enjoy the weather, and it had excellent kitchen amenities to cook a delicious Thanksgiving Feast. The house is spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and ample outdoor areas so even a large group doesn't feel cramped. It was a perfect trip. Thanks so much.

Annual Fripp Trip

This property was perfect for our family of six adults (ages ranged from 22 to 72). There was plenty of room for everyone. The house offers great views of the canal and is a short golf cart ride to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment, pots, pans, and utensils. The living room was spacious, enough seating for our group. The porches are great, but the outdoor furniture is sun brittle so be careful. The only cons was the cleanliness of the home - it was acceptable but not amazing. Overall, the property was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved the dock - fisherman’s dream!!

My son LOVES to fish and this house was perfect for that. The house had plenty of room for our party of 12 to spread out. Great closet space & drawers. Pantry was great space, too, but a little sad the 2nd freezer that was advertised wasn’t operable. Barry was very communicative and easy to work with. Wish it came with a golf cart and that extra fridge in garage was operable. Overall, we had a great experience and would certainly stay here again! Thank you

Our week at Fripp

The house was great and we hope to return next year. iTrip was great and helped us out tremendously! The new deck was awesome and having a nice dock was fabulous because our family loves the water and fishing. There are a few things that could made things better - the place is very overgrown and could use some lawn care, there was trash on the ground all around the trash cans, the ice maker produced very little ice (we used the ice trays to supplement but wasn’t enough), the tv in the bedroom (with door to screened porch) on the canal side of the house would not connect to xfinity so the only channel we got was National Geographic and the plates/saucers are very worn with the finish pealing off of them. Everything else in the kitchen was great!! We had a great week!!

Needs Maintenance

While we overall enjoyed our trip to Fripp and I feel I need to be transparent about this home. While the home is ok and location is great there are some things that really need some attention. The carpet in the eating area is filthy, air conditioning registers are rusted, hardware missing from cabinetry in bathroom. The downstairs bedroom is not as cool as the rest of the house. The kitchen is small for a home this size which I can overlook that but the refrigerator needs to be larger to accommodate 11 people. There is an extra freezer chest but let’s be honest on vacation a second refrigerator comes in handy for drinks. The outside could definitely use some maintenance. There was trash in some of the landscaping. The dock is great for fishing but don’t expect the sink to work since it’s not hooked up to water. I did message the property manager about this and got no response. Our checkin was delayed by the previous renter and no fault to the property management company but of course they had to rush the cleaning to get us in since we had traveled 12 hours and we had coolers full of food that needed to be refrigerated. I honestly did not report any issues to the property manager because these are all cosmetic and general maintenance of owning a home. At the end of the day we all had a great time. I felt deceived by photos and previous reviews. Sadly I didn’t realize the reviews were from over a year ago.

Great beach house!

This house was perfect for our group…family with older teens. We fished off the dock (Careful! One night a giant alligator was in the canal, but the dock is very high off the water.) Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, a Keurig & regular coffee pot, blender, double oven, 2 toasters & big toaster oven, 3 trash cans, an additional side smaller freezer we used only for ice, big pantry, 2 garages that will completely shut tight if you want to secure anything, fabulous screen porch and BIG front & back decks, huge bedrooms, tons of closet space & wonderful, big bathrooms with strong water pressure. Another thing people don’t think about when traveling to Fripp…driveway space! This has a perfect circular drive. When you add golf carts to the family trip…we had 3…you need the space & the turn around room. This property has plenty of space for cars and carts. This house is close to everything…beach, Cabana Pool, marina, golf course, and Beach Club. This house is not ultra luxury, but I have to give it a 5 because it’s super comfortable, everything I mentioned above, and, honestly, we don’t want a magazine Southern Living Showcase for a beach trip. This house is perfect for what you want at Fripp. Whole family was very super happy. Special thanks to Barry Fitzgerald who came to check on wifi when my daughter was having issues. This was also a work trip for her. Wifi went out on the entire island only one day, but he made a special trip over to help her. Itrip staff is very responsive. Side notes… Bring hangers if u need them. Not a lot here. And, we did notice some trash on side of yard where trash cans are. This is the fault of raccoons. In our many year Fripp experience, they visit nightly and are the smartest animals we have encountered anywhere on any trip. Never underestimate them! They always find a way.

Pros Double ovens!! Extra Chest freezer is a big bonus Nice shelves in pantry room to store food Lots of pans to cook with and plenty of silverware too!! House had both coffee pot and a keurig available to use. Plenty of seating in living room for all of the family when we watched a basketball game and a movie. Beds for everyone Club cards gave us access to multiple pools. including an adults only pool to choose from. Very nice pools!! House was close to playground and golf course, beach and pools by golf cart. Private enough to not be on top of neighbors Easy check in process at gate We were able to check in at 230 which was very nice. Golf carts we rented were at house waiting for us when we arrived Nice outdoor areas and screened in porch. We weren’t able to enjoy outside as much as we would have liked but that’s because the no-seeums were awful. We all had lots of bug bites the first night. This was just a South Carolina thing, nothing the host could do about it. Private dock was nice The island was beautiful. Houses all spaced out nicely. Cons Chest freezer needs really good cleaning. Grill was very dirty. We cooked on it 1 night but didn’t want to use it after that. Only 2 dishtowels were provided. We had to buy dishtowels , washcloth and drying mat because we had to handwash dishes that didn’t fit in dishwasher. We left them there . Also only 1 potholder and not a very good one. Hot pans out of the oven were hot enough to radiate heat through the one potholder we found. Dishes were cheap melamine. We had no issues that they were plastic but not good quality and there wasn’t enough individual bowls for ice cream cereal etc. TV remotes. We didn’t watch a lot of tv but when we wanted to watch it was at night in our bedrooms and there was only 1 xfinity remote in the whole house. Remotes for the tvs in the bedrooms were not matched to the tvs and batteries were missing out of many of the remotes. No beach chairs at all. we didn’t have room to pack beach chairs. It was nice we had the pools to go to but we really wanted to go to the beach more but not willing to pay $ for chairs we didn’t have room to take back home with. Nobody was renting chairs either. Listing said we would be provided with free admission to area’s top attractions every day. We weren’t offered anything. Sheets were scratchy. Ended up going to Walmart to buy softer sheets for bed. Reported to host and they said they would notify their cleaning crew
