Enjoyable stay

Stayed here for a couple of nights for the great north run. It was a tad pricey but that’s down to how popular the city is at this weekend. The hotel put on an earlier breakfast and extras for runners and in fairness the breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size and clean too. Great location and has a car park attached although with today’s cars the spaces can be tight

3 day weekend break

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very modern in good condition and was in a good central position for town, the quay area and walking distance to the Utilitia Arena which was our main reason for visit. We had breakfast in the room the first morning which arrived on time and as ordered with no extra charge. The buffet breakfast restaurant was fine with the hot food cooked to order. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Only 2 minor criticisms were our room seem set up for disability access which we didn’t need which was fine apart from it was a wet room not proper shower cubicle meaning the bathroom got soaked whilst having a shower? Also the shower was very powerful but sadly lukewarm only. However overall we enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again if returning to Newcastle.
