Truly felt like a guest at someone’s house

Great experience! Extremely friendly staff! Personal touch everywhere you go. Very unique and comfortable room. The breakfast was superb and felt very local. Just steps away from the Christmas market without being so close or noisy. Perfect stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sonne. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of the beautiful town. The hotel has parking in a separate but close location. The hotel owners are very nice, and went out of their way to assist us when some of the streets were closed and detoured because of Christmas markets. Beautiful location and nice breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

A lovely hotel, wonderful staff

I loved my stay. The staff was so incredibly kind and so good at creating a welcoming environment: My little solo room was absolutely adorable, great space. Perfect for one person. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower. The breakfast was on point, absolutely delicious. What a great place to stay. Great location in relation to all the tourist spots too.

Everything I read in previous reviews didn’t disappoint! The staff was very helpful and welcoming. If you are planning a visit to this beautiful village and want to stay in the old town, I highly recommend Hotel Sonne. We plan on returning in the summer and will book this gem again. It’s close to everything!

Our family had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sonne! This charming, quaint hotel is in the perfect location, within easy walking distance to all the nearby historical sites. This sweet hotel is centrally located in the old town of Rothenburg, close to everything anyone would need. The best part is that it is owned and run by a lovely family (husband, wife & adult daughter), who treated us like family. I would highly recommend staying here!
