Beautiful hotel with wonderful Gabriola's Restaurant in the building. My only minor peeve was that the room was a tight fit for two women and a dog. VERY grateful for being pet friendly and I would return, perhaps selecting a different room.

Super friendly staffer allowed us early check in. The room was touted as a designer suite. In no way was it a suite. The king bed was very soft and seemed a little tired itself. The view out the window was of an exhaust vent about six feet wide and six feet high, in shining metal, about six feet away. How depressing! The room was directly off the elevator, and the ice and coke machines made a loud noise, continuously. The bathroom was poorly designed and lacking in privacy ( no door — is that the “designer” part?) . One small armless chair in the “suite” and no table to work on. Garbage basket and blue box were the most conspicuous feature in the room. There was a strange long black hair in the shower. How is all this “prestigious”?
