Magic Dragon Weekend

I have a service animal and they were gonna put me in a room designated for pets in a different building without a lake view. They didn't however as that building was basically full of a fraternity and she said she would not put is in the middle of that. I have a hard time with being put off to the side when I request a room with a view and then my service animal changes that. I didn't think places could do that? Mind you, They didn't in this case but they would have..... I would have preferred maybe a little balcony or deck but didn't realize there were not. The rooms are too expensive for them to be re-vamped old hotel rooms with very small bathrooms. There were not tea bags, just coffee in the room and maybe a couple extra hand towels or bath towels since it was 2 nights without maid service. Convenient to the strip though. The restaurant event center was nice.

nice location, very good restaurant, comfy bed, easy parking. one very simple problem was no handrails in bathroom. bath was very nice but nothing to grab. this is why every room that i have ever been has a loose towel rack if they don't have a hand grip. simple fix that will save money overall. we will stay here again. we bring our own hand grips.

overall not bad for the price but definitely not a place I would stay for more than one night. parking was full and difficult to find an open space. Hotel is older and remodeled and in good condition. Room was clean. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable, and need a foam topper. Shower has no slip proof bottom, are old slick porcelain and have no grab bars and no place to set soap or shampoo up higher than the tub. Breakfast area is ok, apple juice tasted fermented in the machine. Staff are always friendly and the breakfast area is good for family to hang out and play games in the evening.

We had the smallest room in the place. All the rooms on our floor were vacant, except 2 but were for handicapped accessiblity. However, the 2 other guest using rooms that were handicapped but they were not. Would not recommend staying.
I am 5'4 and could stretch my arms out and my palms would touch all the walls. If you are taller your knees would hit the door.

Overall very clean and indoor pool area was nice for the kids. The game room and gym both had out of service signs on everything so we did not get to use any of them. Breakfast is nothing fancy but enough to get your day started. We had booked 2 nights but couldnt arrive til next day due to tornado outbreak near my home....was told "you didn't call, so no refund". A phone call to the hotel wasn't on my mind at the time of the storms but oh well I guess.
