We were told when we arrived that our cabin was not available and we would be moved to a different cabin. We could have been notified about this at any point, but they neglected to do so until we arrived. So we go to this cabin and it looks pretty identical to the one we booked so we are prepared to make the best of it. Half of the cabin doesn't have power, so we contact the hosts with the number we were given at the check-in office. That initial conversation was insulting as if we were inconveniencing them by reaching out with our concerns. They then have us flipping breakers and trying to diagnose the electrical issues in the cabin. Nothing is working. At this point I'm thinking, why would you not check and make sure the cabin you are putting Us in is at the very least in proper working condition if you are unable to get us in the cabin that we reserved? They call us back and say that there is a different cabin we can go to. So we drive back and they give us keys to a cabin much closer to the office and way less secluded. Not at all what we wanted. We will still give another chance. The driveway is completely iced over, the only way to get our bags in from the car is to walkthrough planters in front of the building because the walkway is iced over as well. We get inside, and we decide we will take it. Then we notice it's infested with cockroaches. We dropped the key off and we headed home. Now I am fighting with vrbo for my refund. Thanks for the ruined weekend.
