We had a wonderful stay at this Outer Banks home and would absolutely come back. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and very well stocked—everything we needed for a relaxing week was there. The layout was great for our group, and the location made it easy to enjoy the ocean. The decks are unmatched. Zero obstructions to the ocean. The only thing worth noting for future guests is the long sand driveway. It was challenging for our group with knee issues and some mobility concerns, as walking through the sand can be a bit difficult. Brian has the driveway cleared on a regular basis but at no fault to him, the sand fills in the driveway rather quickly. It was cleared during our stay which was a huge blessing. If your vehicle doesn’t have 4x4, do not try to pull into the driveway. Our wagoneer got stuck the first day. Just be safe and park on the street. The driveway is long so plan for that when packing luggage. Wish we would have packed sleds to help pull luggage from vehicles to house. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and made some great memories here—just something to keep in mind depending on your needs! Brian communicated with us the whole time and checked in on us regularly. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The area is quiet and very safe

Host was responsive. The inside of the house was nice, but there are huge piles of sand at and on each side of driveway with sand covering steps leading up to house. Access to the house is not for anyone with any mobility issues. We were told to park on gravelon end of driveway, there is NO gravel on driveway and when you turn in, don’t stop or you will get stuck. There is not room for more than 2Cars without risk of getting stuck in sand. Several lights in house didn’t work. Windows in one bedroom were unlocked with air coming in and sand on windowsills from outside where sand is piled up next to house. We secured all the locks after arriving. Relatively clean inside. Table and kitchen island had been wiped down with some type of cleaner that left greasy residue behind. Brian offered house cleaners and handyman to come, but ai just cleaned myself and dealt with the light issues.

We had the most perfect New Year’s stay at this beach house. Being right on the water made it incredibly special. We watched dolphins swim by throughout the day, took long walks on the beach, and truly relaxed in a way we didn’t know we needed. The home itself was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully set up, making it easy to settle in and enjoy every moment. Ending 2025 and welcoming 2026 here was exactly what our family needed peaceful, refreshing, and full of beautiful memories. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway.

Everything about this house was amazing. Brian’s communication was great and the property is perfect. The house is very well equipped. If you’ve come for the beach and rest and relaxation, it doesn’t get better than this! We will be back!

Incredible week! Brian was the perfect host and the house couldn’t have been better! My wife and I stayed with four teenage boys and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. It was well appointed with tons to do in the area! We will be back!

Great location and lovely home.

Home was lovely and very comfortable. So many things were supplied which really helped. Cleanliness could have been a little better but it did not keep us from enjoying ourselves. It was family time and we loved being so close to the water whether we were on the beach or the decks.

Relaxing vacation....

Beautiful, clean house. It has everything you need. Brian is a wonderful host. The most relaxing vacation we have been on in a long time. Sitting out on the deck, enjoying the hot tub or walking the beach and/or lovely neighborhood was just what we needed. Would definitely consider booking this house again :)

Incredible spot on the ocean!

Great time with family in a spectacular home right on the ocean. Yes, RIGHT ON the ocean. Take the stairs down from the deck and you are on the beach. Then depending on tides, it is just a couple or up to 20 steps and your feet are in the water! The home is great. Private baths for each bedroom is a great feature. Support from the owner is fantastic. We had one minor issue which was taken care of almost immediately. I would recommend this home and hope to stay here again.

The best rental house and experience we ever had!

Our positive experience staying at Bella Vista contributed to our enjoyment of our 6 night vacation in Rodanthe. The house was just as described online, and that was a very pleasant surprise. Everything worked in excellent condition, and the house was remarkably clean. Our two adult sons got to have their own master bedroom with private bathroom! And, all bathrooms were well-stocked, with amenities expected of a 5 star luxury hotel! Listening to the ocean sounds from the bedrooms, living room and kitchen was extremely relaxing. Brian is an amazing landlord. His responsiveness and professionalism added to our great experience. Thoughtful gestures, like ensuring we had a great first night, really made a difference. It was also wonderful to have an almost 100 page guidebook with information on the house, activities, emergency numbers,and more. Our great thanks to Brian, with out highest recommendation to stay at Bella Vista!

Once in a lifetime

Beach front property like this will not be around forever so we made sure to check It off our bucket list. House was wonderful with all the amenities we needed. Makes the trip from NJ to NC easier when every thing is on the property. Perfect spot to fish, swim and surf near by. Fire on the beach at the end of the day priceless!

Great family vacation

House was just like pictures- very clean and up to date, well stocked, plenty of chairs, towels, etc. Our group of two families was very comfortable and had a wonderful time. We loved the views, being on the beach, and sound of the surf. The beach is narrow and ocean comes up quite close to the house, but there was enough beach to sit out and enjoy it. We had one minor issue, and Brian was very responsive and addressed it immediately. Overall great experience

We had a great stay at this beautiful home! You can't ask for a better location. The view is amazing and the home has everything you could ask for. The level of communication with Brian was fantastic and very timely. he made sure that we had everything we needed and was very prompt in responding.

Right on the beach. Literally.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in excellent condition, the kitchen is fully equipped, and having a bathroom for every bedroom is fantastic. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we didn’t have any issues with appliances or anything else. The property manager was great to work with. The only thing worth mentioning is that due to shifting sand, this house is very directly on the beach. That means at high tide there’s not really any beach in front of the house, maybe just a couple of feet past the berm which is pretty much directly under the back porch. It generally isn’t an issue, because there are maybe five houses north of this home, and then just open beach with no houses at all - so at high tide, you can always walk just a bit north to get beach. And it’s pretty cool to sit on the porch and feel like you’re right over the ocean.
