Get deep in the dunes of Rodanthe at FAIR WINDS with unobstructed views of the Ocean. Walk over the sandy dune and you are on the beach! Rodanthe Fishing Pier, local shops, food trucks, restaurants, bars, & Adventure park all within walking or biking distance! Rodanthe is part of a cluster of villages located on Hatteras Island. Surrounded by the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, which stretches over 70 miles. Touring lighthouses, sightseeing, kiteboarding & windsurfing are popular activities!
The space
Our beachfront home is the perfect place for you and your family to enjoy a beach getaway. Both decks are ocean view, where you can even enjoy the hot tub on the porch that leads directly off the kitchen! Open living, dining, kitchen areas on first level. Take hallway off kitchen down to one queen bedroom with ceiling fan and TV, one bathroom with tub/shower combo and spacious laundry room with TV! Take one flight of internal stairs up to top level to access queen bedroom that faces the Ocean with it's own private deck, TV, & ceiling fan. A second bedroom with TV, ceiling fan, & 2 full size beds. One bathroom on this second level with shower. BONUS - Dog Friendly!

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Leave in a pile in hamper or bathroom. Start a load of towels if you would like - not a request! Leave beds alone - do not strip!
Remove all trash from house (kitchen, bathroom, etc) place in dumpster outside of house. Make sure all dishes are clean, dry and put away. 
Turn all lights off. Set AC to 74 in summer and Heat to 68 in the winter at departure. Lock all doors & windows at your departure. If a key was used please put it back in lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Was after a near hurricane - lots of sand outside but house was clean, neighborhood was quiet and ocean was wonderful.

July 4th at OBX

Fabulous location and great views. One note is that the A/C is rather loud in the upstairs ocean view room. Also…perhaps a prompt in the listing would be helpful that there are beach chairs and a beach tent in the bedroom cupboard. We found them as we were leaving. Overall wonderful place to have celebrated 3 birthdays and a graduation!!

Great ocean views

This is a very cozy house located just steps from the beach. We spent lots of time sitting on the decks watching dolphins, seabirds and spectacular sunrises. The house is well maintained and features an updated kitchen stocked with everything you might need. Close to two restaurants. It was a great stay.
