very neat and modern

Looked to me that the property had been recently modernized as the kitchen was wonderfull, all the other areas where neat, clean and updated as far as I could tell. No issues with house, TV service took some learning but thats not the locations fault. Overall good stay.

Rockport Delight

Clean! Cute! Steps away from an adorable meadow/pond/park. Cut through the meadow and you are at the beach. Rockport is amazing! Great coffee and donuts at Brothers Brew. Cool little shops, restaurants and lots of art. The host is easy to work with. Loved the property!

Wonderful Beach Home

We loved this beach house. The house was extremely clean, charming and very well stocked. The location is amazing- on a quiet street within walking distance to the beach and the town. We will stay definitely stay there again when we are in the area!

This is the first time I chose to rent a house instead of staying at a hotel and thankfully had a great experience. The Adorable house was charming! It was also very comfortable, stocked with linens, kitchenware and even beach gear like chairs and pails. The owner, Gretchen, went above and beyond to care for her guests. I wouldn't have been more comfortable in a hotel. Rockport is also a charming town full of lovely people. Great time all round :)

Deserves 10 stars!

Th cottage is exactly as shown, a nice quiet neighborhood, handy to all the surrounding areas of Rockport and even Boston by train. We ate out, cooked a pot of chili for a two day cold spell, slept well in a comfy bed. You literally could not ask for more. The host was prompt in replies and communication was faultless. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. This was our second trip to the area, and we truly enjoy Cape Ann. From sailing to museum visits, it was a great trip.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

Came in from Texas for a weekend get away to escape the heat. In addition to the cooler temperatures we were thrilled with the accommodations, location and overall ambiance. The place is even better in person. Comfortable beds and furniture. Gretchen, the host, was very helpful and responsive. The location is perfect. On a quiet street, but easy walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Will definitely be back.

Perfect Rockport stay!

This was by far the comfiest house we’ve stayed in during our travels. The bedding was soft and cozy, stocked kitchen, comfortable couch and chairs and a washer and dryer to boot! Perfect for our family on an extended weekend and within walking to downtown shops and restaurants. My little one didn’t want to leave! We will absolutely be back to stay!

The Perfect Week in Rockport

This was our second year staying at Gretchen’s amazing property. This house is truly a hidden gem - perfect proximity to the beach and town and a clean family friendly house with every amenity needed for a great vacation. Gretchen is extremely responsive as well. The patio out back with a grill were an added bonus for cool summer evenings. We can’t wait until next summer!

Everything you could wish for in a vacation home

We have stayed in several vacation rentals, and we have never come rented one that was so thoughtfully designed and appointed. Everything is there, from the paper toweling to the shampoo/conditioner and body wash. It was squeaky clean. I could even see the vacuum tracks left on the back of the couch from its last clean. Great patio and location. The only thing I would suggest is that when you take a shower bring whatever toweling you require from the hall closet in with you before you take a shower. Otherwise, the house is great!

LOVELY spot in Rockport

Our family (two adults, two kids, ages 8/5) stayed here for a week in August and it was absolutely perfect. Clean, bright, cheery and the best location to Front Beach and the town and an easy drive to everywhere else you would want to go on Cape Ann. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved everything about this place. Really feels like a little (updated beautifully!) cottage by the sea. We hope to be back!

comfortable home walking distance to 2 beaches

Home was actually one of the best summer vacation homes that we have stayed at in the past. Clean, well kept, no odd smells. Some more microwaveable items would be helpful. We would definitely return.

Very nearly perfect

We spent six June nights in this charming and very clean cottage just around the corner from Front Beach. Pleasant simple decor (no collectible clutter, thank you!), comfortable furnishings, easy in/out systems and instructions. A great stay!

One of our favorites so far

As native Rockporters is was so nice to be back home to see family and friends on Forest St where we lived for years. The rental is a perfect two bedrooms and well equipped and very comfortable. It was a wonderful stay all around.
