Our dog-friendly, self-catering annex is a comfy and convenient base to explore 1066 Country and High Weald AONB. It is self-contained, has its own entrance, and parking is in shared driveway in front of the annex. We are about 1.5 hours drive (1 hour by train) from London. The medieval village of Robertsbridge, train station and high street is 10-15 minutes walk away. The farm shop next door conveniently offers local produce.
The annex has two bedrooms: master with double bed, another with two single beds. There is a kitchen with under counter fridge, washing machine, cooking stove and oven, cooking utensils, cutlery etc. It also features a dining area, living room and bathroom with shower.
The annex overlooks a horse paddock to the front and a decked area to the rear alongside another paddock. Annex guests are welcome to use this rear decked area which has outdoor dining and seating furniture and is a shared space with the home owners. The property is surrounded by pasture for grazing sheep and cows, though you won’t have to look far to see ‘wild life’ as we also share our home with horses and dogs. For the location of the annex within our property, please see image provided on property layout.
Robertsbridge is 10-15 minutes walk away and has shops, a café and bakery, pubs, restaurant, pharmacy, post office, vet and overground train station. We recommend driving if you wish to enjoy the various attractions of 1066 Country/High Weald AONB. E.g. Battle Abbey, Bodiam Castle, Pashley Manor Gardens, Darwell Wood, Scotney Castle and Carr Taylor Vineyard are within 15 minutes’ drive or less. While Rye, Hastings, Camber Sands beach, Chapel Down Vinery and Herstmonceux Castle are approximately 30 minutes’ drive away.
Please note we do not offer a farm stay or equestrian experience. We offer, by appointment only, horse guided family and systemic constellation therapy sessions. If you’re interested, please search online for ‘horse constellations shivaun’ or contact us for more information.
