The property has changed dramatically since we first started going there in the 1990s. Yes there is some construction going on but it’s well cordoned off so that it doesn’t affect the restaurant the pool area or the beach. There’s a big solar panel project that’s been ongoing now but it’s cleanly run and I think will be a good benefit for them. The oceanfront deluxe and grand suite rooms have been updated over the years but I suspect they will undergo a complete overhaul and that will be one of the last things to be done as those areas are adjacent to of course the pool and the beach. The restaurant and the buffet style service is truly outstanding. They have an army of service staff. The food is fresh and very good I guess my only complaint would be it’s somewhat repetitive and yet truly no reason to go off resort to eat. The reef is in very good shape, better than it has been in the last few years not as good as it was 30 years ago which is to be expected. There’s a lot of new growth of corals and sponges. The snorkeling is easily accessible from the beach and very well protected from a lot of bad wave action and current despite the fact that the Easter leaves have been blowing fairly hard for the past several weeks to a month. Room service was prompt and thorough. We will continue to go back and always tell our friends about it.
