Welcome to our lakefront cottage on the Rideau Water System in Ontario, Canada! Conveniently located between Kingston (45 min drive) and Ottawa (1h 15 min drive).
This spacious retreat features three comfortable bedrooms and an open-concept living room and kitchen, perfect for family gatherings or friendly getaways. Unwind in the cozy living area equipped with a TV and DVD player, along with a great selection of DVDs and board games for entertainment.
Enjoy outdoor living with a BBQ and gas tank for grilling, along with a fire pit for evening relaxation under the stars. Adventure awaits with available (at additional cost) kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUP) for exploring the beautiful waters. Experience exceptional fishing and breathtaking views, with direct access to five different lakes—Benson, Mosquito, Clear, Indian, and Newboro—without the hassle of locks. Access to semi private boat launch - 1 min drive at the end of our road.
For hiking enthusiasts, the famous Rideau Trail leads you directly to Chaffey's Lock, showcasing the area's natural beauty. Just a short drive away, the picturesque village of Westport offers charming shops and delightful dining options, along with nearby golf courses for leisure activities.

Hosts were very nice and responsive and the place was clean when we arrived. I would not recommend this as a family vacation, it would be better suited for an adult fishing trip. Water was not great for swimming and required us to take a canoe out to a floating dock as you couldn't swim right off the dock. The water is FILLED with fish so even when we did get out to the floating dock the swimming wasn't really enjoyable. We ended up cutting our stay in half. If you're going for a fishing getaway with friends it would be a fantastic location.

Beautiful spot! Owners are so lovely and ensured we had what we needed. Cottage was clean, roomy and had all the essentials.The view from the balcony is spectacular. Fishing was plenty... we rented a kayak for the week and it led to hours of enjoyment exploring and fishing. We look forward to going again!

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour en famille dans ce chalet. L’intérieur est très bien avec ces 4 chambres, salle de bien fonctionnel, air climatisé, et air ouverte. Nous avons adoré le quai principal (facile d’amarrer un bateau) et le quai flottant pour la baignade. La pêche est excellente partout sur le lac.La communication et l’accueil a été A1 Nous recommandons ce chalet pour des belle vacance en nature.Merci
