We opted for breakfast in our room and enjoyed the options we received, especially the pancakes. Everything was spotless and all the staff we welcoming and helpful. There was a cafe option as well as the restaurant which was nice.

A very different experience to what I had 3 years ago. The hotel is still very much the same however it’s starting to look tired and dated. The most disappointing part for myself was the food, last time was superb however this time a very different experience. Meatball starter is stone cold. Medium steak was severed blue. The ribeye burger lacked a lot of love.

The small things we asked staff to do was undertaken without any problems. Restaurant staff and receptionists superb. My two concerns were lack of disabled car parking spaces, only three seen for 91 room hotel and swimming pool at hotel front due to rain. The latter appeared to be remedied day before we left.

Check in was ok but the bar staff were very inattentive. It took a while to get served as the staff member disappeared for quite some time just as I arrived and then continued with what she was doing despite a few people were waiting. There was not much left to choose from at breakfast even though there was a while left before finishing time and some later arrivals were not treated very politely. This was luckily not my experience

The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, the springs of the mattress was felt fully when my stepson was trying to sleep. A new thicker mattress is required. He never got any sleep and ended coming into bed with us. Spoilt what would have been a good stay

Disappointed

We have stayed here before as the hotel is handy for trips from south to north of the country. The bed was fine room a bit dated but clean. In the bar the service was good and the staff attentive We had a meal in the resteraunt. Not enough staff to cope with the numbers and food running out so not all choices available and what we has was skimped on and not worth the cost which is a shame because on our last stay the food was great. I was also disappointed that a service charge was put on the bill and i didnt notice till i paid or would have requested this be taken off
