Great value for money - lovely place to stay

We've had an amazing holiday at the villa! Wonderful place, great hosts, lovely location - we can't talk highly enough of this gem! We are sure to go back again as it hit every requirement. Loved exploring the island, the villa is better in real life - sunshine and pool!

Nice Villa for a trip with friends

Everything was fine. The owner was very friendly and helpful and also cleaned the whole house and changed towels after 4 days.

Beautiful villa in a very peaceful location. The hosts were super helpful, answered questions quickly & dealt promptly with any issues. We were given a delicious home made platter & fresh eggs from their chickens.We loved the friendly tortoiseshell cat who came to the back door asking to be fed, we gave dried food. Plenty of places within 10-25 min drive to eat. We loved the old city of Rethmyno & make sure to visit Margarites the pottery village about 1/2 hr away.We stayed 13-22 May & needed the pool heating.

Lovely villa in local setting

This is a beautiful modern villa with a lovely heated pool and hot tub on the balcony. Whilst you have the modern luxury, the villa is a 5 minute walk to heart of Kiriana and the super friendly shop and cafes. Above the village you can walk in the lanes amongst the olive groves taking in the lovely views. The best thing of all about Villa Athena though are your hosts, the owners Mr and Mrs Kosta. We were met with a lovely welcome gift to eat and drink and they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly - wonderful!

Whirlpool & Relaxing

It was a great stay. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxation. The pool was clearly too cold without heating in the month of May. The equipment of the house was ok. Only the view of the neighboring properties was a bit unusual for us, but we had absolutely our peace. The availability for local concerns was perfect. Questions or concerns were responded to quickly. Thanks.

Beautiful homely villa. Very clean and well appointed.

We had a fabulous holiday in Villa Athena. The views are amazing. The village is lovely as are the people. Kostas and his family were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The moussaka and custard pie dessert cooked by Kostas’ mother were delicious. The villa has everything to make it feel home from home, The only downside is that the villa is on an unmade road so if you have mobility difficulties walking into the village is very difficult and a wheelchair impossible. A car is a must! This did not spoil our holiday though.

Amazing villa and first class service

This villa is perfect with a heated pool and hot tub. You need a car to get about but there are lots to see and do in local towns and beaches. The villa is lovely and clean and was filled with lots of towels which is always a bonus. There was tea, coffee, sugar and we really appreciated the milk, bread and home made food on arrival, such a great touch. We locked ourselves out one day and someone came to let us back in within 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this villa :) I hope to return in future!

Schöner, entspannter Urlaub

Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne, entspannte Urlaubswochen in der Villa Athena. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld verlief immer schnell, freundlich, entspannt und reibungslos - ebenso der Check-In bzw. Check-out und auch während des Urlaubs konnte man bei Bedarf jederzeit anfragen und bekam schnell Antwort. Der Pool wird regelmäßig gereinigt und die Wasserqualität geprüft. Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. Vielen Dank dafür und bis zum nächsten Mal!

Schöne Villa und tolle Aussicht auf das Meer bei Rethymnon / beautiful villa and great sea views nea

sehr ruhige und schöne Villa in einem kleiner Ort nahe Rethymno mit einem schönen, sauberem Pool und einem Wirlpool auf dem oberen Balkon. Besonders zu erwähnen sind Kostas und sein Team der Hausverwaltung, sehr hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle, wenn sie benötigt werden und an den Gastgeber Valia Kokkinou für die freundliche und hilfsbereite Unterstützung bei allen Fragen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Villa Kallisti/Athena und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen, Danke. Very quiet and beautiful villa in a small town near Rethymno with a nice, clean pool and a jacuzzi on the upper balcony. Special mention must be made to Kostas and his property management team, who are very helpful and always there when needed, and to the host Valia Kokkinou for her friendly and helpful support with all questions. We had a very nice holiday in Villa Kallisti/Athena and would book it again at any time, thank you.

The best holiday!

We had the most amazing time staying in this villa, we hired a car the second day and this was a very good idea as the nearest town is about 25 minute drive. But the location of the villa was beautiful, quiet and relaxing which made that drive not so bad at all. The town rethymnon is absolutely beautiful, and if you go there go to the port as it's stunning, the people are so friendly and the food is amazing! We also ate at the prima plora restaurant, it's a must!! The food is fantastic and the views are just mind-blowing!! Overall this holiday was amazing, the hosts couldn't do more they were so helpful whenever we needed them. The villa was clean and beautiful, thankyou to valia and her family for making our stay perfect! Xx

Super Villa

Beautiful villa with a beautiful view towards the sea. Equipped with all luxury inside and outside. Beautiful heated swimming pool which is illuminated at night with various colors. Beautiful illuminated garden with a modern roof and luxurious garden furniture. It is advisable to rent a car. Small supermarket (1 minute) and bakery nearby (5 minutes). Owner Kostas and his wife were very friendly and mega hospitable. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a drink and Greek snacks. And after a number of days, there was even an oven dish ready for us. Villa and swimming pool were regularly cleaned and provided with new towels. Are you looking for a nice, modern and luxury villa then look no further and book Villa Athena.

Beautiful, Relaxing, Quiet

Beautiful villa in a quiet location. Very peaceful and relaxing week celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Owners are most helpful and the villa was spotless. Food on arrival was delicious and very much appreciated- thank you Kostas! Easy to drive down into Rethymno where there are numerous tavernas, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Can recommend the old harbour there - beautiful place to share a bottle of wine and watch the world go by.... We ate at Prima Plora in Rethymno on our anniversary - beautiful location, very romantic and fabulous food. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone. Will hopefully return again soon... 😎

Schöne Villa mit Abstrichen

Diese Villa wird behindertengerecht angepriesen, leider ist es nicht richtig dafür geeignet, da man keine Haltegriffe an die wand anbringen konnte, die Toilette sehr unbequem war und die Matratze durchgehend war und es nur eine Decke gab.Wir waren zu 4 und für uns anderen beiden war es ein tolles Haus (Außer die Matratze war sehr hart im OG) leider gab es nur 3 Löffel oder nur 2 liegen was für 4 Personen natürlich komisch ist. Das war aber alles kein Problem, da alles in kürzester Zeit erledigt wurde wenn wir uns gemeldet hatten und was fehlte aber mehr Geschirr wäre praktisch, da man jeden Tag spülen musste Bzw die Spülmaschine anschmeißen musste. Der Weg zur Villa ist auch ein bisschen Gewöhnungsbedürftig und der Gartenbereich mit dem Pool ist sehr klein. Da hatten wir uns mehr erwartet. Für junge Leute mit Auto alles kein Problem aber für ältere Personen mit und ohne Behinderungen eher ungeeignet. Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und unheimlich nett. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Es gab bei Ankunft kleine Häppchen und auch nochmal während des Aufenthalts. Alles in allem eine schöne Villa.

Wunderschönes Haus, sehr sauber, tolle Gastgeber!

Wir waren um Juni zu Viert auf Kreta. Die 3 Häusschen sind etwas abseits vom Touristenrummel ruhig gelegen. Es gibt eine sehr gute Taverne und einen kleinen Supermarkt, den man wie beschrieben gut zu Fuss erreichen kann. Unser Ferienhaus war sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber und entsprach exakt den Bildern. Der Pool war traumhaft! Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend, haben regelmäßig hinterfragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und haben all unsere Wünsche sofort erfüllt! Für uns perfekt :-) Für Ausflüge auf der Insel ist ein Mietwagen sehr zu empfehlen.

Top Villa. Perfekter Urlaub

Die Villas sind schön dörflich gelegen und hierdurch lernt man Kreta abseits der Touristenströme kennen. Einfach perfekt. In der Villa mangelte es an nichts. Zwei Bäder, ein Pool zum genießen. Am Abend nach den Ausflügen stört keiner am Pool. Man kann jederzeit hinein springen. Von der Terasse aus kann man den Sonnenuntergang und das Meer in einiger Entfernung wahrnehmen. Mr. Kostas der Eigentümer ist stets für Hilfe und Informationen da und ist sofort bei Problemen vor Ort. Auch Valia als Maklerin ist immer erreichbar und steht für Fragen zur Verfügung. Einzig der BBQ-Grill im hinteren Bereich (am Abend ohne Sonne) könnte als Mangel bezeichnet werden, wobei. Die Villa war einfach super für einen erholsamen Urlaub auf Kreta. Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist allenfalls das behindertengerechte Bad im Erdgeschoss. Aber auch das stellt keinen Mangel dar. Die Reinigung erfolgt auch problemlos. Leere Flaschen werden entsorgt, der Müll geleert und die Handtücher gewechselt. Alles in allem können wir nur eine Empfehlung für die Villa abgeben. Wir haben uns einfach wohl gefühlt.

Fantastic place!

Beautiful new and high end villa. Very impressed by all the small touches,equipment, pool inflatables, art, decor. Also the views are amazing ! And it’s very peaceful .

Schoon, mooi huisje

Heerlijk om een week te verblijven. Fijn, verwarmd, zwembad. Grote bonus is de jacuzzi, zeker als het weer wat frisser is. Zeer gastvrije ontvangst.

Great facilities, superb service, close to Rethymno

The villas have great, new facilities and are well designed/laid out. The cleaner attended twice during our 10 night stay, cleaning and leaving some home cooked food on one occasion! Pool was good, DVD player useful to entertain kids and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Washing machine worked well and the outside area was good for shade and sun. Would have been good if instructions for the jacuzzi were available - but we eventually got it going.

Een heerlijke Griekse vakantie

Kallisti villages is de perfecte locatie voor een vakantie zoals een vakantie hoort te zijn. Gastvrije ontvangst door Kostas en zijn familie, Goed verzorgd, schoon en compleet uitgerust met zelfs nog een onverwachte bonus.

Much needed blissful relaxation!

Fantastic holiday, the villa was so comfortable and clean and the hosts were amazing and so hospitable. The children loved the pool and us adults enjoyed the hot tub I'm the evenings watching the sun setting, perfect! We're so welcomed by all the people in Greece, such a lovely place, will certainly be be visiting again!!

Fantastic!

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad in deze villa. Het zwembad was lekker warm, ruim 30 graden! Alles nieuw en zeer compleet, prachtig ontworpen en heel schoon. Ligging is ook geweldig, je kijkt in de verte over de bergen en verder is het rustig, in een klein dorpje met veel privacy. Een auto heb je echt nodig. Absolute aanrader, ook voor gezin met jonge kinderen (de onze zijn 3 en 5 jaar). Tevens een warm onthaal door de eigenaar met raki en heerlijke hapjes. Als je tussendoor nog vragen hebt, is de eigenaar goed bereikbaar en binnen 5 minuten is er iemand bij je om je te helpen. De jacuzzi kan je zelf vullen, dus je zit niet in vuil water van een ander. Heerlijke bedden, handdoeken voor het zwembad en voor in de badkamer waren er ook. Ook fijn dat je zelf een wasmachine hebt, zodat je niet zoveel kleding hoeft mee te nemen. En als laatste: goede taverna op 5 minuten loopafstand!

Great house, great views, great holidays!

We (family of 4) had a perfect week in Villa Hera. Temperature was between 22-26 degrees for the whole week, making our stay even more perfect. When we arrived the host Kostas was there with some local delicacies making the start of our holiday complete. The house was fabulous: brand new, big, 2 bathrooms, complete kitchen, private swimming pool. What you can't see from the pictures: there is also a small back garden at villa Hera. In this garden you can catch the morning sun and I guess it must be nicely shaded when summer hits in full. We used the outside fireplace for a nice bbq. The airconditioning could also be used as heater, which was comfortable during the first evenings and mornings. Behind the block of rental holiday houses there was a trampoline and table tennis. Kostas was available for all our questions during the week. The village itself is authentic; there is also a small shop. Such a nice and hospitable people, very warm! Valia from the rental agency assisted us very well right from the start and advising in where to go etc. Also during and after the stay she kept in touch. Thank you Valia and Kostas for enabling this perfect holiday for our family, I will surely recommend it to the people I know! Best regards, Barbara

Fantastic Villa With Great Views

The villa was very clean and looked exactly as it does in the photos but the views are even better than expected. Mr Kostas met us at the villa and gave us a fabulous welcome with a quick tour of the grounds, some information about the area and some ridiculously good food and of course, some raki. There are three local supermarkets withing walking distance but I would recommend hiring a car for trips to the main town, beaches and some of the absolutely superb restaurants that are dotted around the surrounding hills. Excellent all round and all around - the only downside is only the distance to the beach but a 10/15 min drive is worth it for the views and the villa.
