Awfull vacation

After arriving at the hotel the next day. We where told our rooms would be ready at 3pm. Which the room never became available until close to 4pm. The lady behind counter was very rude and left my wife talking. The same night we asked the front to have waters sent to our room and clean towels and never showed up. We also told them the bed in our room was broken and they never fixed it. The next day we went to another hotel and after talking to the manager she advised she did not have control over her employees. So sad and bad resort.

Stayed in Beach Bungalow 1163 (great spot right near Trapeze and LaRoca) however these bungalows have very bad noise insulation-they all have adjoining rooms (units) separated with a wooden door with NO caulking around the door molding. Heard baby screaming beginning at 4:30AM and then moved to 1105 (great room right on beach). No baby, but very loud neighbors til after midnight! Bring earplugs is a must!! Food and drinks great-book specialty restaurants for entire week on first day-all are excellent!

Do not stay here

So I thought I was staying at an all inclusive resort with nice drinks, clean rooms, kind staff and water views but I was wrong. To start the trip off, the front desk man was very rude and talked to me like I was dumb and was unaccomodating towards me. After 15 minutes of checking in, I get put with the bellman who escorts me to my room 10 minutes away from the front desk and pool area, and as far back as you can go. When I finally arrive to my room, I find that the door is wide open and the room smells awful, bed is not completely made, and the air conditioning is not working. Needless to say I was very unhappy with this room and requested a new one. There were no rooms available until the next day and even when I switched the room was pretty much the same thing but little bit better location. As for the restaurants the food was ok but if you stay less than 7 days you can only eat at a restaurant one time and the rest of the days is either the buffet or pizza place — RIP OFF! I would give the buffet a 6/10 rating. After the stress I went through, I just wanted a nice drink to cool down, so I go to the bar and order one. First of all, it comes in a mini plastic cup about 3oz. Secondly, the liquor is bottom of the bottom and is hardly drinkable. I’m usually not picky about my drinks, but It was hands down the worst drink ever. also paid $25 for 25 hours WiFi that was guaranteed to work in all rooms — surprise surprise it didn’t work in mine. Called mantinence, never came.

Best beach we have ever stayed on

Cons: Some of the guests are so rude, it kind of became a joke in our group. It would be nice to have washcloths in the bathroom
Location: 45 minutes from the airport in Punta Cana.
We had a great time. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and we always found a way to communicate. 8 of the ten people in our group thought the food was good, 2 of our group were not fond of the meals. The beach was awesome. The variety of fish to be seen when snorkeling was fantastic

Hotel advertised false information

Pros: The entertainment was okay, the shows at night were good. The food in the 3 restaurants (ROCA, 25, VIVA MEXICO) was great.
Cons: Variety of music could be improved, they played a lot of bachata and techno and nothing else.
Location: Booked tours thru coming2, lack of communication between staff who booked the tours and bus drivers, told us wrong times and place of pickup. horrible
When booking the hotel online, it said it had live performances every night, which was false. During our stay, we had live entertainment twice. Also hotel advertised 10 available restaurants , when we got there we found out only 3 of the 10 were covered in the all inclusive package. The phone wasn't working in the room, and the bed was very uncomfortable. On another note the hotel was in the middle of construction, which was very disturbing. Also the male staff was very disrespectful in their native language not knowing we spoke perfect Spanish. AC was jammed to a fixed temperature not allowing us to set it to cool more. The Jacuzzi's in the different pool areas had cold water instead of hot water which we found ridiculous.

Excellent view of the beach.

Pros: We didn't feel like we needed to leave the resort, there was activities right on site.
Cons: Advise people just arriving that they should make reservations immediately for the restaurants for every night they are there as they book up fast.
Location: It is a long ride from the airport but the beach made it worth it. The only place I went off the resort was a snorkel excursion and that was fun!
Our first room water was leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom so they upgraded us to a great room with a balcony and a view of the beach! I was very pleased with the room and the large king size bed. I am going to go back and I would pay extra for that room. The check in people were not very helpful when we told them about the leak but housekeeping sent a manager over and she was awesome! I don't speak any Spanish but enough people were around that could translate so it wasn't a problem.

beaches are beautiful

Pros: nothing.
Cons: rooms, food , entertainment
Location: its 1 hour from airport. the new highway made it very nice. i would definetly stay at a place towards san damingo where its more americanized.
food sucks, drinks suck. entertainment was ok . i would not return to this resort. i did travel to the beaches resort and was impressed. iif i returned to punta canta i would much rather stay north of airport.

The hotel was beautiful

Pros: Quiet, service
Cons: Poor breakfast, food in the dining hall
We didn't get a tour of the grounds and services. We didn't receive a balcony. It seems we were the only room without a balcony. In main dining hall the food was bad. We tried to book other options for dinner. They stated most nights were full. When we would arrive at dinner. The pace was empty. The people were very friendly and helpful when we had questions. Overall, we enjoyed our trip.

Amazing Time!!!!!!**Don't believe the bad reviews***

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, entertaining, relaxing, drinks
Do not read the bad reviews, Must admit I was a little scare after reading some of the reviews. My husband booked it himself as a birthday surprise. We had an amazing time is just what we needed(stress reliever)-and what the doctor recommended, the staff were helpful/polite willing to get you anything that was needed, saw some of the staff late into the evening in the heat with the same attitude- will accommodate you and very happy to do with out hesitating. They spoke english /spanish /french /italian!!! I was very surprise how many languages the staff knew to make the guest feel conformable.I have not seen that in other country and resort; read allot of reviews that the staff didn't speck anything but spanish or maybe Italian .. Hmmm Hello your in another country that what happens when your in another country!!! The beach is to die for clear blue; could see my toes IN THE SAND and my shadow in the water. there was 5 pools that we went to. Food was good in the the buffet area Maria was ways helpful visit 3 of the restaurant; Mexican rest- loved our hostess, Viva cafe, La Rock- our waiter there was absolutely. The main pool bar was the hot spot during the afternoon with group ;yoga-sports/dance /games and during the night after the show/eating dinner it the spot to drink and hear the music. The night entertainment was awesome; night club ,beach party , the shows were great!!!!! the announcer did an awesome job!!! Honestly it was a wonderful resort. Had amazing time with my husband it was romantic /entertaining when wanted to be and quite and relaxing when we needed it. Only bad side to it was that there was a water leak coming from our room down stairs .. Front desk was going to move us but the room was not ready had to run back from dinner to pack, call the front desk at 10.pm and there was no room available so we stood in the room.It didn't stop us we went straight to the main pool area to enjoy the rest our night. In fact my husband uncle and aunt were coming to spend time with us from two town over, we didn't want to leave the resort so we booked a night for them to spend time with us at the resort. Looking to book our next vacation can not wait either!!!! Sept"12 for a long weekend or in December"12 for my husbands birthday. Cant wait to be back!!!
