1--At the very least there is colorism. At worst, an anti Black sentiment. Staff readily, and regularly, greeted whites staying there in the halls, on the beach, in the common areas etc. There was a grave difference in how Black visitors were treated. I stood at the bar multiple times waiting first while whites were served before me. While walking to or from the beach, restaurants etc staff would walk by me then greet the whites walking behind me. 2--The same food was served day in and day out. 3--I ran out of toilet tissue. I stopped by the front desk at 9:30am to let them know. I was assured someone's would bring it up. I called again at 11:30am and 1:30pm. Finally, I called again at 3pm. I was told no one would bring it if there is a Do Not Disturb on the door. If I am requesting it they can just knock on the door. 4--I decided to relax on the balcony one day so I ordered room service. I ordered at 12pm. At 12 :22pm there was a message that my food was delivered. I opened the door. No food. I did see staff delivering to my hall mate. At 1:15pm I asked about the status of my order. The front desk said they would check. I never heard back from them. In my 20 years of traveling & staying at resorts I have never felt more unwelcome...EVER. I ordered a drink at the bar & the bartender literally looked like she didn’t even want to interact with me. When she placed the drink on the bar she actually walked away before she even put it down. The worst resort & staff ever.

Overall we had a good time. The resort is newer and they keep it clean. Our only complaint was the food. Not the quality of the food, it was fine. The problem is it’s almost virtually impossible to make reservations at the restaurants for dinner. Therefore night after night you are relegated to the buffet. We were bummed by that because the restaurants looked nice and we would’ve liked to try some of them. And be aware, pretty much every interaction with staff will turn into a shake down for a tip.

Julio, our butler was beyond amazing! He made our stay wonderful from the moment we met him until the moment we left! He went beyond the call of duty to do everything possible to accommodate us. He even went to 3 different stores on his way in to work at the resort to purchase mascara for me that I’d lost! The staff were all kind and helpful. Resort is beautiful . Food delicious with awesome options. Room was very spacious and comfortable! We will def be back !!!!! Can’t thank Julio enough for his outstanding hospitality!

Amazing resort with great people working here! We were always taken care of at the main pool by Dorka (our waitress) and Spaghetti (our entertainment)! Book it, you won't regret it. There is construction going on to the east of the hotel on the side of the family wing, but you don't hear anything. Will consider again for the future.
