Hotel was nice, food was good, staff was not friendly. Had a handful of friendly workers, not just our experience, was talked about by other guests as well. Very pushy to get you to sign up to for timeshare sales pitch. Restaurants reservations were very limited when booking, yet each restaurant was 25-30% full. Room service was not available unless you booked the day before. 24 hour room service was not available most time frames, due to reservations times all being booked just liked he dinners.

Terrible service unless you pay their VIP club. They harass guests since check in, no one asks how was your night? how is your stay? Instead they ask did you arrive today? Reason for the question to take you to their timeshare meetings promising you is just a breakfast where someone will give you a brochure with some information. Once you are there you are trapped for 2 hours. On our first day the hotel had some kind of issue with a water pipe and the whole hotel was without water. We did our check in around 1pm and no one bothered in mentioning this “insignificant detail”. We had water again around 7pm. Reservations trough the app are almost impossible, only the one restaurant no one wants to go is available “zen a la carta”. Only one buffet is opened at a time and with a very poor selection. What a shame because the beach is beautiful and the hotel’s rooms and other areas are very nice as well. In my opinion the best part was the beach and the vibe team, they go above and beyond to give you the best show by the pool and at night.

We stayed in a Diamond Club room and we highly recommend it. You have a seperate pool which is doesn't get as busy, upgraded alcohol, free access to the flow rider (surf simulator), sperate breakfast restaurant, free access to the waterpark at the Royalton Splash, and much more including bulter services. Our bulter Manuel was phenomenal. He booked all of our a la carte restaurant reservations, and checked in with us regularly to ensure everything was good. The lazy river is awesome and probably wouldn't book anywhere that didn’t have one in the future! The food in the restaurants is great and there's enough variety that nobody will go hungry- even picky eaters. The building where the rooms are located are looking a little rough in areas but nothing too dramatic. Mostly just some wear and tear. The ocean front is very nice and late October is a nice time to visit as the resort was only half full. There were no line ups for anything. It is the very end off hurricane season for them so there is a higher chance off rain but we feel the trade off is worth it. We also took advantage of the fact you can pay $60/us to pick the exact location of your room ahead of time and felt it was worth it. We stayed in room 18331 which was closer to the beach and had a amazing view of the ocean. We would definitely stay at this resort again.

Awesome DR trip

Our concierge staff member Adoni was super helpful. He made sure we got reservations for the restaurants and assisted with any needs while we were on the resort. He really went above and beyond and answered all our questions. The food was pretty good. I would avoid doing room service unless you missed the lunch/dinner timings. The swim out pool was great for when we wanted to get in the water but not go out.

The resort staff were amazing but not many people speak English so it was difficult to communicate with them. We had water leaks in a light fixture in our room. They attempted to fix it twice but they were unsuccessful so the moved us to a different room after 2 days. The new room was better but there was is an overwhelming smell of mildew in the new room and old room. On our 5th day the water went out on the entire resort and we were unable to use the bathrooms or shower. It eventually started working at 7pm that evening. The staff really tried to accommodate us with all the issues we were having, but I could hear other guests making similar complaints at guest services. So I don’t think our issues were isolated. It seems like the property needs some revamping and renovations. But my kids enjoyed the pools and going to the beach. They have several bars and restaurants throughout the resort which were good.

Estuve en el hotel por 5 Dias con 7 personas y para serle sincera si hubiera sido por los malos comentarios no voy pero me corri el chance. Gracias a Dios tomé la decisión de ir creo que seria poco darle 10 de 10. La comida exelente, el trato del personal increíble la seguridad del hotel a otro level. Super facil hacer las reservaciones en los restaurantes. Muchas gracias Adonis por siempre estar disponible. Departe de la familia Rodriguez :)

Resort had plenty of food options, our butler was amazing, but the whole place was rundown a bit for the cost and one day we didn't have water in our rooms for over 12 hours.
